Too bad Trump didn't mention William Magear "Boss" Tweed, the most notorious politician in American history--and a Democrat at that, too.

What Tweed did between 1853 and 1871 is essentially a writ small version of what the Clintons have done.

How many people know that? Most people have trouble remembering
last week. Probably better to stick with more recent events.

Even going back to Bosnia is gonna throw the millennials.

I take your point, but I'm willing to bet that only a tiny minority of Americans under age 50 have any idea who Boss Tweed was. So had Trump reached for that comparison, it would likely only have confused the issue.
