I don’t think Ryan is quisling... weakling... traitor... loser... smarmy, as you suggest.
He is no different than any other CAREER politician. He simply must follow orders of his mega-rich donor class. Check my tag line. Once one understands why career politicians talk a good game before election and then after winning the election, they go to serving their real masters, all the fog and confusion clears up.
I agree...they serve their “monied masters”. However, the other adjectives still apply.
