When the weather is bad, it’s the less passionate voters that stays home. Assuming those who didn’t give a damn enough to brave bad weather stayed home, it probably leads to a more honest vote dominated by informed voters with more than a casual opinion.

With all the money and power behind the ‘remain’ campaign they must have pulled out all stops to commit whatever voter suppression and voter fraud they could - and they still lost.

I hope it is the same way in the USA for Trump.

The democraps got Odumbass in for a second term with voter fraud- but Romney was as exciting as milquetoast and generated no massive turnout. Trump is breaking records.

There is divine intervention afoot and Trump is the catalyst. How can you say otherwise when out of the blue or left field, coincidentally, you have the Turnberry dedication event occurring with the Brits vote to leave the EU. And there was Trump on the world stage the morning after. For one hour and off the cuff, he fielded reporters at a news conference with Turnberry as the backdrop. In the conference he blasted Obozo and the Hildibeast and stated over and over again that the news event of the day across the world was bringing the power back to the people and how they are gaining control of their countries again. All I can say is Wow, no one can even match him now on the world scene.

A large turnout had more to do with it actually.

The turnout was high at 72%, with more people turning out to vote than in last year's general election. Over 30 million people voted.

Yep—some people didn’t want to tell pollsters that they were voting for Brexit. But they went ahead and voted for it anyway.

that is why I don't believe any of the Trump polls.

As an extra added bonus for the Britons, David Cameron o quit after UK votes to leave EU

UKIP leader Nigel Farage hailed it as the UK's "independence day", while Boris Johnson said the result would not mean "pulling up the drawbridge".

Flanked by his wife Samantha, Mr Cameron announced shortly after 08:15 BST that he had informed the Queen of his decision to remain in place for the short term and to then hand over to a new prime minister by the time of the Conservative conference in October.

He would attempt to "steady the ship" over the coming weeks and months, but that it would be for the new prime minister to carry out negotiations with the EU and invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which would give the UK two years to negotiate its withdrawal, he said.

Jim Robinson said Resistance to Tyrants is Obedience to God.

If Trump wins now after Brexit, better start believing Jim has some special connections. :-)

The other anecdote to not ignore is the polls were WRONG.

Polls are to be ignored. Keep your eye on the prize.

I believe that is why Trump has generally outperformed the polls (as long as we’re not talking about insider caucuses), and that in turn may have contributed to his underestimating the value of analytics and a well-organized ground game. (That is, not realizing that such could add still more to his overperformance of polling and end up being the margin he’ll need for ultimate victory.)

Oh, Soros is not that hard to beat, just ask the Chinese. Soros started playing games shorting the Yuan back a few years ago, a high rank Chinese party official came out and not so subtly said Soros better cut it out immediately or he would be "taken care of". Soros quickly backed out of China and hasn't touched the currency since...

Even better, all the betting sites were wrong, if I hear one more liberal say, "Betfair has Hillary with an 85% chance of winning and the professional gamblers have inside information and are NEVER wrong." all I now have to utter is "Brexit"...

I saw voter turnout was 72%; perhaps Obama turned out the other voters ...

now may the British turn back to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, by God's grace and mercy.

LOL! So no doubt I’m late on this thread but I suppose that glow bull discombobulation is to blame for the correct decision to leave the EU? Even though the article makes it sound like leaving is a bad thing.
