In recent weeks, after a series of failures to pick up delegates and embarrassing distractions arising from the behavior of his top campaign aide, Donald Trump has attempted to restructure his senior campaign team.
But Trump's senior policy adviser, Stephen Miller, may be bringing his own baggage to Trump Tower, in the form of more than two dozen columns he wrote for his college newspaper a decade ago.
Miller, who attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, has been a member of the billionaire Republican frontrunner's team since January, when he left the office of Alabama senator Jeff Sessions to serve as Trump's No1 adviser on foreign and domestic policy.
Most of his work has been behind the scenes, although he gained notoriety in March when he laughingly told CNN Trump's retweet of an unflattering photograph of Heidi Cruz, wife of opponent Senator Ted Cruz, "speaks for itself".
Trump's senior policy adviser appears not to have changed much since his days at Duke.
His columns for The Chronicle range in subject from multiculturalism (which he calls "segregation"); to paid family leave (which results in men "getting laid off because [their] boss was losing too much money by paying absent employees"); to the Duke lacrosse scandal ("a large number of people - instead of rejoicing at our peers' innocence - will insist it is a conspiracy of white privilege").
The columns offer a revealing glimpse into the opinions and ideology of Trump's top policy adviser, and the sort of advice the presidential hopeful might be getting.

It’s the British Marxist publication “The Guardian” as opposed to the late US Marxist weekly The “Guardian”.
Same old Marxist, hate America crap.
I swear the other day the Washington Post wrote a long column, one which I didn’t read past the headline, which stated that Donald Trump tried to push a fellow student out the window when he was in school. I kid you not. The media is digging into every aspect of Trump they can find, and they are leaving Hillary’s scandals largely untouched. Occasionally they’ll toss a bone out there to appear to be unbiased, but anyone can see what they are doing. Unfortunately, it does appear to be working to an extent because if they were going at Hillary as hard as they are going at Trump, I don’t believe she would be leading in the polls.
By the way, I saw him on CNN the other night. He was excellent.
Hell, let’s just see some articles on Hillary. There’s plenty to work with.
The MSM is down to investigating the college newspaper articles written 10 years ago by a campaign advisor to Trump. And these are the crumbs they find?
No wonder newspapers are going belly up. They deserve to.
Meanwhile the mass murder of 50 by yet-another-terrorist just a week ago has been swept into then memory hole. Why? Because it is damaging to the Hillary campaign.
Stephen Miller is a terrific standup, extemporaneous, motivational speaker. Trump usually features him to warm up the audience in his appearances. The guy is sharp, articulate and very effective, that is the reason for the hit job.
Here's an old FReeper post giving Stephen Miller's analysis of the lacrosse controversy at Duke.
Miller was but one of a handful of people at Duke who had the courage to oppose the lynching. He was absolutely fearless.
Controversial, means not going along with the socialistic, communistic manifesto they preach
That’s probably all figured in when they ordered the interior furnishings for the Post Office!
I wonder what the author thinks about Hillary and Obama’s college writings....
I guess it’s all over for Trump...again.
It’s kind of funny that the media was completely unsuccessful in finding anything form Obama’s school paper days.
The truth has been controversial since the alphabet networks, nytimes and WaPo declared the truth doesn’t fit the left’s agenda.
Perfecto.
Love that graphic
....Shows like Queer As Folk, The L Word, Will & Grace and Sex and the City all do their part to promote alternative lifestyles and erode traditional values, Miller writes.
In a jeremiad against political correctness redolent of his future employer, Miller writes that politically correct dictates are anathema to American values.
He continues: Inside our borders, the nation of e pluribus unum [out of many, one] threatens to be fractured across ethnic lines by racial animus and divisive multiculturalism. We suffer from sagging patriotism, growing malaise and a loss of faith in the noble history and principles that have made us great.””
These are the reasons most of us like what trump is saying and why we all hate the Clinton and obama crime families.
what about obammy releasing his relationship with bombin bill ayers?
