Gun salesman-in-chief: 52,600 a-day under Obama, more seen under Hillary
Washington Examiner ^ | 06/27/16 | Paul Bedard

Gun sales are on a pace to break last year's record of more than 23 million, a boon to the U.S. industry and gun stores thanks to election-year worries about gun control and recent terror attacks, according to government figures and experts.

Under Obama, background checks for guns reached 141.4 million through the end of May, amounting to sales of about 52,600 a day, according to the FBI. Last year, the FBI conducted more than 23 million background checks, which are generally used to figure sales of new and used weapons.

Domestically, manufacturers have reported producing about 21,000 guns a day, or more than 46 million in Obama's first six years in office.

And should Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton continue to best Republican Donald Trump in the polls, sales could hit new highs, according to industry experts.

Let’s not forget the medical profession asking if you own a fire arm, or if you are Military or Ret. Military and complain of PSTD.

Why do you think I never mention the ‘grief’ factor that plagues during holidays, BD or anniversary dates. I will never get over the senseless murder of my child, while the calendar said he was 16, he was mentally and physically a 12 yr old when he was ambushed and beaten to death with a section of fence post so some sociopath could get his jollies to see what it felt like to kill, and went bragging about what he’d done and dragged his friends to the murder site to just about a block from our home. They stood on the side lines watching the LEO investigate. Our 10 yr old mentally challenged neighbor’s son came and told us Jeremy had fallen off the Ice Plant roof and was dead. He was to young and innocent to know it was a murder scene. Not the police.

Gosh! No wonder the democrats are terrified and screaming for gun control. I didn’t realize there had been close to 150 guns sold just the day Obama took office. I have been quoting that “300 Million guns in private hands” number since around 2005, it sounds like it’s more like 450 to 500 million now!

Buy bulk powder, brass, primers, and bullets and load your own. Then keep ‘em dry.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your son to murder. Hope the killer got what he deserved.

My wife & I are vets & we know better than to go near the VA at all, let alone tell them about any issues.

I went to pick up my AR-15 lower yesterday after my 10 day wait (Calif). I bought it 3 weeks ago for $89.95. The price on the same lower 10 days later was $139.95. Store owner said there has been a run on them in the last couple of weeks and people don’t care what they pay. He said that the 80%ers are flying off the shelf. And are much more expensive than the finished version. The run is primarily due to some nasty Calif. gun ban legislation that may get signed soon.

People getting ready.....

Not really, and I had to fight for what little time he spent in prison. Good thing I know how to do research and fight real dirty. So some where in TN he walks a free man now. And I CCW. Live to close to Memphis, and that is were all the medical or shopping is closest to my new little berg across the county line.

I don’t have the words. All I can say is that there is little “justice” left in this dying country.

The first 2 things I did when I moved to AZ in 2011 were get an AZ drivers license (a 10 minute process at a privately contracted business) and head for a pawn shop in Tempe and buy an AR-15.

After the ATF BS and the credit card had cleared I just stood at the counter for a while. Finally they guy behind the counter got impatient and asked "anything else?" I sheepishly said no, picked up the AR, walked out to my truck and drove home. I knew I could just leave with it but I'd been so conditioned by CA gun laws that just leaving with the property I'd purchased seemed unnatural. I've since gotten over that.

I had to laugh. The guy at the gun store had to run through an operational and safty speech before I could take my lower home. I told the guy I’m only going to use the lower as a door stop, so he had better cover tripping hazard.

Try a Saiga 12 with a 20 round drum magazine. ;-)

Boy don’t I know it. Since I’ve had a large pool of friends who had relatives murdered you learn a lot. Especially if the DP is involved, 1 had her sister raped, beaten, stabbed with a short knife, kidnapped, stuff in the trunk of her car tied up, left in a public parking area, where she literally COOKED to death in the 100+ heat of Memphis back in the late 7’s MURDER hired by her husband who took the kids out of the house so they could do it. Got as far as the Fed court for our district and the Anti DP Fed Justice and some state justices blocked DP for decades before ordering a new trial, and giving the creep LIFE with parole. She is the only one left to keep him there. Husband and one of the 3 got the DP. Rest just prison time.

Then you have this bribery/fraud sentence vacated because he’s a pol. http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2016/06/27/breaking-scotus-unanimously-tosses-out-gov-bob-mcdonnells-bribery-convictions-n2183887?utm_source=thdailypm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl_pm&newsletterad=

I have no love of what our INJUSTICE system has become, because of goody two shoe ding bats. I don’t advocate mistreatment, but no luxuries should ever be given prisoners and full sentences served, build some prisons out in the middle of Death Valley or on Aleutian Islands is you don’t want them in your back yard NIMBY crowd, and they should be productive and grow their own food and make their own prison uniforms and what ever else they can safely work at. Should be TERM LIMITS on both state and FED judges to 8 yrs. Then off the bench.

Folks will simply get creative in regards to getting ammo.

Ammunition requires four components: Brass, bullet, primer, and propellant.

Brass can be scrounged and reused many times. Bullets can be cast from wheel weights. I won't get into detail, but primers can be fabricated. It's not safe and they won't be as reliable as factory, but it can be done. Propellant is a problem.
