If you didn’t get Donald Trump’s first email asking for money, you may be among the silent majority—that is, the silent majority of people who signed up for his emails but had this message silently dumped into a spam folder.
A full 59.3% of copies of Trump’s “The First One” email got filtered out as junk Wednesday, according to the mail-services company Return Path.
The New York-based firm maintains a consumer panel of some 2.5 million people to help gauge how marketing campaigns pan out in public, and Return Path’s tools revealed some insights about the presumptive Republican nominee’s digital camp
The average open rate across Return Path’s government/non-profit category is 11%; a 20% open rate is pretty spectacular. Trump’s “The First One” message got a 12% open rate.
Sather credited Trump for keeping his correspondence unpredictable—“part of it is just curiosity factor”—and less frequent, leaving recipients “not as fatigued.”
But in that same time, Trump recipients marked 3.1% of those emails as spam; only .41% of Sanders messages and .02% of Clinton’s met the same fate. Three weeks earlier, Trump’s would-be readers were even less forgiving, marking 9.34% of his messages as spam.

One problem is a LOT of malware has had Trump in the subject matter for months. I must have personally gotten hundreds about Donald Trump’s secret brain power pill.
Google is a culprit. I’m no expert but I saw where Google was directing my gmail from Trump into SPAM.
I wondered why I hadn’t received some Trump emails and checked my SPAM and sure enough, there were 4 Trump emails.
Which reminds me.
I need to give his Campaign another Donation before the 30th. They have to report how much money they received.
He mentioned at the Rally yesterday that people will be shocked by the number of small Donations he is receiving and the amount raised.

I noticed something weird, that my account wasn’t “following” Trump’s page on FB any more. I had to re-like it. More shenanigans at liberal FB!!!
Emails I send as a copy to myself even get put into my SPAM box.
Using a new domain will do that. You’re starting over from square one, so all the predictive filtering needs a new baseline. As more and more people open and take other actions with the subsequent emails, they’ll be less likely categorized as spam.
Hmm, I wonder what the rate is compared to Cruz’s campaign.
I presume this is a joke. They barely send anything. Maybe it is notable to someone but, as a contributor, not much. Consider what Lyn’ Ted did. Sent him several hundred dollars when he started out and I go and still get inundated with emails from his campaign, from him, from his wife begging and pleading for money. I also got phone call after phone call. I’m 56 and have donated to many campaigns over the years and have NEVER experienced the spam generated by Lyn’ Ted. So far, Trump is, by comparison, sending nothing.
OMG- How right you are! So many from Ted, and “Heidi’s worried!” I really liked Cruz at first, donated and bought his book too. Trump sends nothing, but but I don’t need encouragement to donate to him.
Jane reported that she contributed very early on to the Cruz presidential campaign, but, Cruz wants to keep the contribution for his Texas Senate re-election campaign.
Jane said there is actually an option to have a contribution returned, in such a case, and she is using it! She’s tough! Good for her!

I do have a phone number and name, from the very last request (to allow funds to go to his Senate campaign). I’ll soon try that.
Maybe it’s excess funds/funds in excess of X amount. I’m not sure.
I’ve got a 50/50 on that as of this minute- 2 Trump mails in spam and 2 in the inbox. The spam ones are labeled Donald Trump; the inbox ones are labeled Donald J. Trump.
same here...I became so tired of Ted and Heidi’s begging...it was ridiculous and insulting.
I didn’t receive the First Trump email in my inbox either! Found in spam!! Grrrr.....TG for FB...that’s how I found out about it and then donated.
