The numbers get even worse—there are about 1 million doctors in the United States, so there is roughly 1 medical error death for every 4 doctors. There are 300+ million guns—so that would be about one death for every 25,000 guns.

Good point - the number of deaths from medical errors is surprisingly large. Instead of lecturing the rest of us about safety they should work on their own practices.

In September of 2012, I was being evaluated for a medical procedure, and while being tested for blood pressures, the doctor pierced the subclavian(?) artery to my brain, giving me a right brain stroke, and paralyzing my left hand. I am left with a speech impediment,permanent brain damage, and a left hand that has no remaining strength or dexterity. So, when any doctor recommends anything as being good for my health I feel like telling them all to go stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
