Mind you, I’m not defending this piece of sh!t in any way. I can’t figure out why prison systems even WANT to prevent suicide. This is a problem that takes care of itself.
But I can only imagine some old Veteran appearing in court and being forced to wear these. It looks like a moving blanket.
Talk about destroying your credibility in court ! I mean they can’t even shove people in front of a judge without worrying about them hanging themselves ?

Odds are they really don’t, but somebody probably sued someone for not taking adequate precautions to protect an unstable individual while in custody. Things like this are usually the result of a CYA lawyer.
