Ted Cruz endorses Marco Rubio’s re-election

A onetime opponent is throwing his support behind Marco Rubio.

On Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz said he was “glad to support” Rubio in his re-election bid. Cruz, a Texas Republican, was one of more than a dozen Republicans who ran for president earlier this year.

“Marco Rubio is a friend and has been an ally in many battles we have fought together in the Senate. I’m glad to support him in his bid for re-election,” he said in a Facebook post shortly after Rubio’s announcement. “Marco is a tremendous communicator and a powerful voice for the American Dream. At this time of great challenges, we very much need strong leaders in the Senate who will fight to restore economic growth, to defend our constitutional liberties, and to ensure a strong national security for our nation.”

According to Elaina Plott with the Washingtonian, Rubio reached out to Cruz to confirm he intended to run. The Washingtonian reported Rubio asked Cruz to send out a statement urging the Miami Republican to run for re-election, but Cruz declined because he didn’t want to be seen as pushing Rep. Ron DeSantis out of the race.

Rubio also appeared to get support from Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich, another one-time presidential opponent. In a tweet Wednesday, Kasich said “keeping (Rubio) serving in the Senate is good news for the people of FL & our entire nation. Good luck, Marco!”

REmember when Jeb said to Trump, “Politics isn’t bean bag. It’s a tough business.” So Mr. Thin Skin couldn’t take. I shudder to think of the POS worthless gutless campaign he’d be running right now... Nothing bad to say about Hillary, or the Muslims... or anything...

And this @sshat, Ted Cruz is no better. You’re not going to support Trump. WEar the Make America Great Again Hat? Then go home...If you get re-elected the people would have been duped twice by you...

Funny, Ted Cruz and all his minions did all those things to Trump and Trump was willing to forgive Ted.

Can't speak for his minions -- though I was one of them -- but I don't recall any egregious lies that Cruz propagated on Trump.

>I don’t know about you, but if somebody questions my integrity or demeans my family or spreads sordid rumors about me, it tends to diminish my opinion of the party.

Funny, Ted Cruz and all his minions did all those things to Trump and Trump was willing to forgive Ted. Can Cruz not give up his grudges and petty hatreds?

Not only that. Ted Cruz PERSONALLY insulted US when he called Trump supporters “low info”. Imagine the panties in a twist had Trump ever done such a thing to Cruz supporters. Fact is the primary was a two way brawl. The amnesia from the sore losers in Team Cruz now is breathtaking.

There is nothing in American citizenship law about Cruz needing to do anything when he reached a certain age re his citizenship. As I said, that part was a Cruz family fabrication—and you fell for it.

Here’s a tip: the Cruzes lie. Here’s a fact: only diehard Cruzers have yet to figure out that Cruzes lie.

Btw, you’re as bad as Cruz when it comes to honesty. You posted that Canadian law required Ted to take action when he reached his “majority.” Nor could you resist gratuitously insulting me as not understanding Canadian citizenship law.

When I revealed that I have actually read the Canadian Birthright Citizenship Act (according to which, Ted and his mother are not merely wrong but weirdly, bizarrely wrong), you lied, and said you’d been talking about American citizenship law. (In fact, an honorable person would have apologized. But have no fear—I expect no honor from Cruz or from his most hardcore followers.)

All I can say is, no wonder you support Cruz: birds of a feather.

If only you knew as much as you think you do...

And, regrettably, I haven't the patience...

I'll be leaving now. The thread is yours.

You won’t be missed. Your posts, a witches brew of self-contradictions and falsehoods, added nothing to the discussion—least of all integrity.

I truly believe (and I know this is going to sound like I’m a conspiracy nut) but I truly believe the clintons and the bushes have been friends for years... they let Obama come in to position Hillary to get a clinton back in the White House and basically those two families (bushes and clintons) run the show. I think they are all in this thing together and there is no party except them and us. It’s pathetic and thank God Donald Trump pulled the tent flap back and showed us what was really going on! I told a friend of mine recently I think the only reason that Obama was in office was that it was part of God’s plan to show the country how bad things really are and that more people would start to pay attention and get involved.... I can’t think of any other good reason for him to be in office. Frightening.

West was robbed by the Saint Lucie Supervisor of Elections.
West was ahead by 2100 votes going in to the evening,
This liberal, black woman went in to a room during the count late at night with West ahead by that 2100 count. She came out and announced that Murphy was the leader by 2100.
West lost his seat because he was a Tea Party conservative and the pubbies realigned his district to be more democrat insuring West’s defeet
