Nigel may be stepping up. He couldn't be PM as UKIP.
As an aside, he used to be a member of the Conservative Party

Nigel, darn it. Although perhaps he has fulfilled his mission and someone else must take the ball.
Let’s hope UKIP and the ideas of liberty it promoted do not die....Farage represented Independence, but others do too.

I'm thinking Nigel is maneuvering to get an invitation to join the Conservative Party and then play some major role in negotiating the exit from the EU.
He is actually the highest profile leader with the backbone for it.
Michael Gove is a mouse and Theresa May wasn't even for Brexit and has already begun to complain that she doesn't think the UK should slow immigration.

I would love to see Farage as Prime Minister!!!,

When the Thanet South election is overturned, maybe Farage will run as a Tory.

I think the fact that they are stepping down at this point is a clue that they are not really leaders.

The mainstream media has disparaged him so badly over the years, making him out to be brownshirt and racist, that perhaps it’s time for a new face to emerge to represent the new populism in the UK. In Trump’s early days of campaigning, the British media tried to disparage Trump by saying he was like Nigel Farage.

I've watched 7 videos of this man standing before the EU Parliament and he is absolutely brilliant!
If I were a Brit, I'd vote for him as Prime Minister in a heartbeat.

Me too. Like Trump, he’s not an empty suit. The two of them would become fast friends.

I'll bet that is exactly what Nigel is thinking of.

...he planned to see out his term in the European Parliament - describing his party as "the turkeys that voted for Christmas".
I'm glad he'll still be around for bon mot like that.

I hope it means that he is preparing for such an enlarged role in UK politics and not that he is moving into the background. He seems to be the most significant leader in the country who is not a total twit like Cameron or Corbyn. May he have a bright future!

The elites control most of the elected officials, most of the media and virtually all of the judiciary.
The wheels to elect Teresa May as Tory Leader, depose Jeremy Corbyn as Labor leader and a court challenge demanding that Parliament must vote for Brexit before it can really happen all tell us the noose is tightening around any notion of independence for the UK.

UKIP hasn't any influence in Parliament.
The Tories are going to have to do this.
UKIP will be on the sidelines as a threat to them if they don't.

Brexit will happen if the Tory Party hopes to survive.
No Referendum vote has ever been denied in UK history.

Parliament must follow the Referendum, don’t be deceived by those who claim it doesn’t.
