I’ll be SO happy when Trump finally makes his VP pick so we can end these pointless, inane debates about who Trump should pick for VP, and get on with the pointless, inane debates about why he should or should not have picked whomever he picked.

Your question was he MORE conservative than some of the GOP, and the answer is YES, because some of the GOP are NOT conservative at all.

I respect your opinion but why is General Flynn a democrat?

Geez, you really are dense.

The U.S. has never had a “Republican” general who became president, unless you count Grant’s mid-war transformation.

But keep up with your, um, denseness. It’s clearly impressing everyone on the thread. snicker.

Correct. Ike did not know what he was, and was in fact pretty apolitical until 1950. He chose the Republican Party mainly because he thought MacArthur was going to run as a Democrat.

No one who has ever voted democrat while employed in a position to know better is eligible, in my opinion.

I'm not as concerned about his party affiliation as I would be with a career politician. He did stand up against Obama’s disastrous policies, so he isn't toeing the party line.

The core of the Republicans are factory owners, latte drinkers, Prius drivers, pro-gay, pro-abortion liberals, who aren’t Democrats

You have just insulted New England Republicans.

Most Generals make very bad politicians. They are not used to compromising their integrity on a daily basis. Note.......I said most not all.

Anyone who is a registered Democrat in this day and age is not conservative. The Reagan Democrats do not exist anymore, that was 30 years ago! Trump is already considered an outsider, a liberal, more Democrat than Republican by some. The last thing he needs is a real Democrat on the ticket.

"An Army General as VP will be a strong presence to Congress in getting our priorities straightened out."

The Clinton's and Obama's disdain the Military. How many of their minions are in the trenches of everything DC and could the General help "Streamline" and "Downsize" these folks out of a job. That is my question...

Still hoping it is Newt. Newt has done the heavy lifting for decades to move our nation back to it's founding principles for decades. #NEWT4VP

Why does he look like a psycho? He appears to be a rational, intelligent man with priorites in the right place.

Trump doesn’t want a veep to “bring” voters. He wants one who shares his vision and can be pres later.
