You are onto something, sometimes drug use also comes into the picture with all those pills found around the San Bernadino terrorists.
Some of the terrorists in Belgium and France also had drug records with the police.
But back to your original idea, the Charlie Hebdo terrorists in Paris were investigated with child porn reportedly found on computers.
This led British politician Boris Johnson to refer to those terrorists as “porn addicted losers”.

he should have had a dishonorable discharge...
an honorable gives him all the bennies regular troops would get...
the VA for medical treatment, VA loans for a house, grants for schooling, free jobs training, points for state and fed jobs, etc
