I would prefer it was someone else but if Trump feels comfortable with him, it’s his choice. Will always support his choice. Someone mentioned that many names that have been floated may end up being cabinet positions. DT mentioned at one time he would like to announce a few of them at convention so they can run as a team.
The idiot calls Quayle an idiot.
Why am I not surprised!
Exactly.
I don’t know that much about Mike Pence. However I will support Trump no matter who he chooses for VP.
I’ve been impressed hearing him speak, too. But, I think he should’ve stood up for himself for that “potatoe” spelling. Wasn’t he was reading from a flash card given to him?
I think it’s Rope-A-Dope.
Pence and TRUMP have two different approaches to the enemy at the GATE. Pence is no fit for a TRUMP approach, unless boring Congress to sleep would serve some kind of mysterious purpose that I don’t quite fathom.
It was Pence who was unhelpful to religious liberty in the case of the bake a cake shop, which was set up by the Queer Marriage gang, forced to cakery to them. Bah.
Icing on the cake... Maybe Trump can find some other job for Newt...
I actually listened to Hannity’s opening monologue this afternoon and he made a compelling case for th Newtster.
I know I don’t want Pence. But Trump talking about how one anti-Establishment guy is enough has me thinking he’s made a deal to secure the nomination by taking on a GOPe hack like Pence.
Oh, well.
They look like Mutt and Jeff together.
How tall is Pence?
Yep—you’ve got it right.
Trump is allowing the top candidates for VP to speak in a public arena. This is what Trump did in “The Apprentice.” As we watch those speeches, we will have our own look at their performance.
Have you never been on a team? All members don’t think alike but they pull for the betterment of all of them! Politics is no different. You are called to work with those you disagree with. As sensible adults, you don’t take your ball and go home.
Trump isn’t being called to play on a team - he’s PICKING the team. Why should he pick someone who hasn’t supported him 100% compared to, say, someone who HAS?
Even snooty The Atlantic magazine published an article by a noted family advocate abd scholar, Barbara Dafoe Whitehead, called Dan Quayle Was Right in 1993, for which she won many awards and recognitions. But of course, by then the political damage was done.
The article examined actual statistics concerning single-parent "families", divorce and step-parenting and other sexual re-engineering and showed that the so-called Sexual Revolution does "not strengthen the social fabric but, rather, dramatically weakens and undermines society."
For the betterment of all! I’m sorry you don’t understand this concept.
Remember, Jack French Kemp told Bob Dole in 1996 that Kemp was no “attack dog”. I guess Pence won’t be any worse than Kemp was, but I prefer Trump-Santorum.
Yes I remember Kemp’s “debate” with Algore.
“I agree with everything Al Gore says.”
“For the betterment of all! Im sorry you dont understand this concept.”
There’s no indication that selecting Mike Pence will be “for the betterment of all.” So it basically comes down to dismissing anything that disagrees with your choice of a running mate because, after all, he’s your choice for a running mate.
I’m done arguing the point.
Keep in mind that he did veto the religious freedom bill which came to him last year.
