Oh my, this needs investigation (as do dozens of other things) but right now the country is more into a mood of emoting than anything else. Even a lot of the righties. It may be that the Castile situation is as bad as it has been cracked up to be by the worst cynics. Or there could be people lying on both sides of it and it’s somewhere in the middle.
We need God more badly and obviously than in recent memory. A new civil war may not even have the “good fortune” of being a formal thing like it was in the 19th century, but a general descent into mutually hostile chaos.
