Your comments here are very interesting, I didn’t know most of the Yale campus consists of young buildings.
All I know of Yale is I hate driving around there because it’s a dangerous area. I try to steer clear of most of New Haven. I worked for a company HQ’ed in Hampden, hated meeting days...but they always let us go before dark.
My angle on this story is that Yale should shut down because it started with slave trading money...Harvard too. These Liberal Regressive bastions of edumacation need to be eradicated.
Here’s a liberal researcher crying of the slave-trading mean men who started most of the Ivy League schools in the Northeast.

Of course he can still get unemployment benefits. People who are fired still get unemployment. I don't know how - but they do.
What is he talking about, black slavery? I don’t see any evidence blacks were ever slaves.
It depends on whether or not a person is fired with or without cause and if the employer decides to dispute claim or not.
Commiies like to erase history
This is the same thing Mooslims do!
Coincidence?
Yale should have replaced that window years ago. Slavery should never be celebrated.
That being said, I don’t condone the vandalism. Why not just petition to get the offending window removed?
My illiterate white grandfather went to work at age 7, hauling coal and tools for the grown workers, and worked as a laborer until 65. I was the first to graduate from college in our family. My offspring has the doctorate. I’m proud of my ancestors’ sacrifices for me and my descendents.
This article’s great-great-grandson of enslaved cotton harvesters could choose to be proud of his ancestors’ sacrifices for his future, and that now he can work in a good environment with good benefits, and probably a discount on tuition if he would avail himself.

OOOOHHH I have stories ! I worked in the middle of MS13 land. And rode a sport bike. And had many late nights at the office.

It’s interesting you mention that. While working for MasterCard I learned how Visa, American Express and MasterCard REALLY got their start.
Yup. International slave trade. Trading real currencies for this thing called “Credit” that would happen in international waters. From there, people who debarked on US docks had nothing. Literally, nothing. They had “Credit” which applied only to allowed goods. This way they would work off $1 a day but had to pay 50 cents for a shovel and 50 cents for a place to sleep and continue going into credit debt.
It’s very similar to the African diamond trade. very.
I think someone should write a book...
The Northern hemisphere Western World, hip deep in the past, was rocky...but we are the ones who dug up out of the commerce of slavery, etc.
The Middle East and much of the Southern hemisphere are still neck high in the slave trade, amongst all other nefarious sundries.
But I still think Yale and Harvard, et al...have to go.
White-guilt status quo must be achieved ;)
oh yeah, and MC and Visa... for good measure :)
