“Today, I endorsed Hillary Clinton to be our next president,” Bernie Sanders announced to supporters on July 12, shortly after formally endorsing Clinton at a campaign rally in New Hampshire. “I know that some of you will be disappointed with that decision. But I believe that, at this moment, our country, our values and our common vision for a transformed America are best served by the defeat of Donald Trump and the election of Hillary Clinton.”
This was, unfortunately, the best Sanders could do ahead of the Democratic National Convention to ensure Clinton and her superdelegates don’t vote down every progressive concession he squeezed into the Democratic platform. But fear mongering Donald Trump is not a valid or viable reason to vote for Clinton, and many of Sanders’ supporters won’t be following suit.

If I was trump I would say to Bernie’s supporter that in good conscience I cant promise you the things that Bernie wants but like Bernie I am honest I wont be selling the office. My suggestion is self serving but a good one for you to fallow. give me your vote and keep Hillary out of this office you can always vote against me four years from now and try and bring in a socialist like you want but voting in Hillary would be a big mistake. If you vote for me I hope through action and results to have your vote four years from now because you trust built up over this time

I found it very interesting that although the Green Party and Ms. Stein have never expressed any support for the Second Amendment (indeed they abhor it), in the current Stein platform (available at her web page), there is absolutely NO mention of guns, gun rights, or the need to ‘restrict’ gun owners.
I still wouldn’t trust them anymore than the proverbial prostate exam from Cap’n Hook.
She has all the progressive bonafides.
