Donald Trump is planning to announce that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is his choice for his vice presidential running mate, according to a Republican with direct knowledge of the decision.
As Trump narrowed in on his choice of Pence, the two men spent time at both Trump's golf resort in New Jersey in early July and at the Indiana governor's mansion this week.
In addition to testing the men's chemistry together, Trump was reportedly impressed with Pence's calm demeanor, his experience on Capitol Hill and as a governor, and Pence's potential to assist Trump in governing, should the ticket win in November.
The announcement will be made publicly at an event at Trump Tower at 11 a.m. Friday morning.

Evan Bayh is probably cursing Pence out right now for taking his VP spot that he was being groomed for..ha! Heard he is thinking about running for office again.
Take the temperature. Nothing is official until the delegate votes are cast and Trump is actually nominated and declares a running mate. Little trial balloon here, little trial balloon there, save a lot of problems later.
Newt is too old. Christie is too liberal. The general is even more liberal. Pence out of that group is best. The rest were vetted and may have had skeletons we don’t know about.
Pence puts me to sleep and I suspect he will to most others as well.
agree- four years ago i had hoped Pence would be at the top of the ticket...four years later i think the #2 spot is perfect...

I’ll speak my mind here. As far as I or my wife are concerned, Donald Trump could announce he has selected Fritz the Cat to be VP and I’d still vote for him.
I want Obama’s lies and treason gone. I want everything he did or said erased, expunged and expelled from our history. I want his hatred for this country and his rabid Islamic ideology gone from our ranks.
I do not want Hillary Clinton and that two-dick billy goat husband of her’s anywhere near the White House again.

I loathe the guy, after his craven capitulation to the pressures of the homo lobby, tossing religious liberty into the bonfire. Probably the most egregious case of political spinelessness I’ve ever seen. He just melted away into a quivering ball of sweat in that press conference of his. The very sight of him now makes me sick.
