AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). Of course it was! He’s a complete jerk and Rush ought to wake up and realize it.

Cruz is NO Churchill. You can’t begin to compare Churchill’s amazing life and career to this small, first term senator. It was ridiculous for him to couple the two names in the same sentence.

Why not?

A man word is his bond. Cruz has proven he has no bond. It doesn’t matter what he says about anything, because Ted Cruz is a liar.

I think it’s fairly important for people to know that they voted for or are contemplating voting for a liar.

People in Texas should know that when they consider their vote in 2018, Ted Cruz is a proven liar.

I’m glad he showed up.

He once again demonstrated, as he has done many times now, that he is not, in any way, who he pretends to be.

I’m imagining the scene after the debates where the spouses of the debaters meet them on stage and everyone shakes hands/embraces.

Is bj the serial sexual abuser going to be able to keep his hands off Melania?

Yuck.

Anyone who genuinely likes Cruz should express sympathy and hope that he can overcome his self inflicted fiasco. Otherwise, there wasn’t much to compliment other than he congratulated Trump on the nomination.

What is it with Rush? Is he part of Cruz's religion?

I think he is trying, for whatever reason, to salvage Lyin’ Ted’s decimated political career.

"Is bj the serial sexual abuser going to be able to keep his hands off Melania?"

Which abuser do you think is going to have a harder time keeping hands off of Melania? Bill or Hillary.

Ted is such a hypocrite! He put out a modeling picture of Melania and pretty much called her a slut. He accused Trump of being evil to the core. Why are all those insults acceptable but Trump’s are crossing some invisible line?

Haha, you’re right.

It will be interesting to see who paws her the most, bj or the old lesbian.

Rush is off and running on the Cruz drama last nite. I think he is doing a good job of assessing the non endorsement of Trump by Cruz. I recall that Trump was the only candidate who originally declined to take the pledge the nite of the first debate. Trump wanted more information on what was entailed in that pledge and when he was assured that there were no strings attached, he also pledged to support the winning candidate. Now Trump has exposed the very reason why Republicans who are not a part of the elite uniparty are rebelling against all of them. Those who should have attended the convention but who stayed home so they would not have to publicly refuse to honor their pledge are, like Cruz, shamming themselves and validating what the Trumpsters are saying about their disloyalty to the American people. Is there any doubt in anybody’s mind that Donald Trump would have honored his pledge of loyalty no matter who won, including Cruz? Trump just keeps on giving. Insight into the reality of the true allegiance of those who have betrayed the trust of the American people, as well as their own Republican party members, is to a uniparty which places themselves in another universe alien to our Republic.

And now Rush is taking Cruz supporter phone calls! Although the Viet Nam vet was great!

Is Rush in love with handsome Teddy?

Rush is wrong to compare Cruz making a future comeback, to Nixon’s comebacks.

Nixon never bailed on the party. Cruz’s opus last night was like Scranton and Rockefeller abandioning Goldwater in 1964. Their future presidential chances died with that.

Rush gets the boot to the arse award today. Defending that smarmy little unprincipled sore loser Cruz is not worth my time listening to.

Rush, here is the real reason why Cruz's admission is a problem.

Remember when Democrats accused George W. Bush of going into Iraq because of a personal grudge against his father, that Saddam Husein had tried to have him killed or something?

Here we have Cruz who is making monumental decisions based on personal grudges. That is not a behavior that we want in a President.

One thing that Trump does not do is allow a personal grudge to get in the way of closing a deal. Cruz has revealed himself as a President who would put personal grudges ahead of doing the right thing for the country.

In fact, the 25th amendment is there specifically for a President who temporarily cannot faithfully execute his office. If Cruze were to retaliate against an Iran that taunted him by accusing his father of collaborating with the enemy, he can't be trusted to put his personal feelings aside.

Because according to Cruz it's personal. He said Trump attacked his wife, and accused his father of having something to do with the assassination of JFK. I don't know what Trump said about both of these people but supposedly that's why Cruz said he wouldn't endorse.

I still think we witnessed the end of Cruz' political career last night on live TV. It was stunning to watch.

I think Rush is correct that as Ted was being booed off the stage (and Heidi was being booed off the convention floor), many (not all) of the Pro-Cruzers and NeverTrumpers came together behind Trump last night.

Brilliant move, Trump entering the hall just as Cruz was being booed off the stage. I was so caught up in the moment, I didn't even think about that, and I just assumed (per all the talking heads) that the Trump family did not know what Cruz was going to say.

The whole thing was amazing to watch... I've *never* seen anything like that before at a convention, Republican or democRAT.
