Wearing a black balaclava and carrying a high-powered rifle, former US Marine Gavin Long cut a chilling figure as he calmly walked around Baton Rouge. He is seen strolling alongside cars and through streets in newly-released surveillance footage, taken during the his horrific attack that left three police officers dead and another three wounded. The cameras then recorded him as he took up his shooting stance and fired at patrol cars from a long distance. During Sunday's brutal ambush, the 29-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, kept shooting one of the slain cops as he lay dying on the ground.

Registeted Democrst voter, former associate of The Nation of Islam........there it needed the other parts too.
I'll let him try my M38 carbine.
I'll tell him he can bring his organic marshmallows to roast by the flame that it produces...
I looked at the Tavor, rejected it.Not a natural pointer, which is really important to me.I’ll stick with my M1A.
“Registered DEMOCRAT Voter, Former Associate of THE NATION
OF ISLAM . . “
Bears repeating.
plus he was probably a beneficiary of affirmative action...hard to believe my dad's Marine Corp would accept a jackass like this...
I recently had a chance to try a friends Tavor and found it to be well-balanced and handy. Not quite as accurate as my AR though...trigger was a bit mushy
Gee they only got ‘former Marine ‘.
Scumbag news.

The Israelis mostly issue the *shorty* version 14.5-inch barrel. It looks like his has the 18-inch *sniper barrel* of the S-TAR [S/harpshooter T/avor A/ssault R/ifle]

How quickly he went from armed black liberation terrorist to “Ex-Marine” in every story I’ve heard so far. Pretty soon they’ll be calling him a “white” African American.
I've long thought that an M1A is about as sexy as a rifle gets.
That said, I can't stomach the price if I'm taking a good chance I'd hafta dump another grand or so in it to get acceptable accuracy. And their overall length makes them a skosh cumbersome in my current hunting situation.
So I reckon I'll just hasta make do with this raggedy ol' SCAR 17s. d;^)
PS-Did you used to frequent GoGoVarmintGo Message Board?
Smooth Move, Exlax!! d;^D
Dem Israeli's prolly ain't pokin around after pigs-n-varmints to much. If I had ta guess, they're prolly shootin on the fly a good bit.
Their varmints is 2 legged and shoot back!! d;^)
Now "handiness" is one thing the Tavor specialized in! It'd gimme an SBR pudgy messin with it. Hehehe.
I had a Geissele in mine and it still wasn't that great. Nature of the beast with a bullpup, I think. And I thought it was plain too heavy considering the cartridge.
I don't think I've ever seen an AR that wasn't accurate. Had a guy with an AR-10 go head-to-head with a buddy runnin a full blown bench rig at the Roanoke Egg shoot (500 yards) one year. They shot about 2 eggs each then my bud choked and lost it. Great entertainment 'cause he hated AR's. Hehehe. d:^)
i like how they look at me at the shooting range when I open the bayonet on my M44. "Tighter Groups", sez me. I'm thinking of building a conversion that lets me keep my bayonet.
No,I didn’t use the varmint message board. My M1A shoots sub-moa,I’m satisfied with it.
This my first AR (former Californian, current Texan) and I have to say I’m pleased with it; a S&W Sport 2 (fwd assist and dust cover, $668 out the door)...hated the grip but a Magpul upgrade made all the difference. Trying to keep it simple otherwise...for now anyway lol
Did yours do that out of the box?
IIRC, the consensus I got to from pokin' around on the web was that they're generally 2 MOA-ish factory stock. I remember it was enough to scare me off one when I had the cash in hand. Ended up with the SCAR and have been very pleased with it. Although I still think an M1A is sexier. Hehehe. d;^)
