Report: Megyn Claims Fox News' Ailes Sexually Harassed Her

New York magazine's Gabriel Sherman reported Tuesday that Fox News star Megyn Kelly has accused the network's chairman of sexual harassment. The blockbuster report comes on the heels of Sherman's Monday story, citing sources at Fox News's parent company, indicating Roger Ailes was soon to be fired.

The decision to remove Ailes in the coming weeks was the result of misconduct discovered after a legal review of his actions in the wake of claims made by former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson. Carlson has filed suit in New Jersey Superior Court claiming the Fox News chairman requested they sleep together for favorable treatment. But it was unclear as to the immediate cause motivating Ailes pending dismissal, New York said, "until now." New York reported the bombshell revelation: "According to two sources briefed on parent company 21st Century Fox's outside probe of the Fox News executive, led by New York–based law firm Paul, Weiss, Kelly has told investigators that Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her about ten years ago when she was a young correspondent at Fox.

Kelly, according to the sources, has described her harassment by Ailes in detail." 21st Century Fox executives have told Ailes to quit by Aug. 1 or be fired, according to the report. Ailes has hired lawyer Susan Estrich, Michael Dukakis' former presidential campaign manager, to head up his defense strategy. New York also claims Ailes has turned to Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani for advice on the widening scandal. New York said Fox and its parent company, as well as Kelly, declined to comment for the story. Since the Carlson suit filed in June, nine women have accused Ailes of sexual harassment during his five decades as a media and entertainment executive.

Nikos, I need to put my glasses on before I read. I thought the headline said Meagan McCain said Ailes harassed her. I was thinking “oh no not bloated Barbie”.

Anyways, Did Ms Kelly also mention that those sexual advances helped launch her career? And she owes not only Ailes but Britt Hume a big thank you.

You never know what these stories actually mean. It sounds like he may have said something to her 10 years ago. Or maybe they did have sex and that helped her career.

It also sounds like there is a power struggle going on at FOX. Ailes allowed conservatives on TV in the early days back when TV news and commentary were 100% liberal.

Now Ailes is old and in poor health. Notice how the women actually raped by Clinton and others are ignored. The women supposedly “harassed” by Ailes are given credibility.

“I have no doubt Ailes harassed women.”
=
Much of what used to nothing more than casual flirting is now classified as “harassment”. Even comments made as compliments.

She kept her mouth shut until investigators asked her.

Sounds like she dealt with it privately.

Media people are gross; Ailes is no exception.

Joan Rivers died on the operating table having yet ANOTHER face lift. She was 80 years old.

Pure BS.

Joan Rivers died at a NYC endoscopy center, while having an endoscopy procedure on her vocal chords.

Why post such cr@p???

Susan Estrich???

She's like a (drunk, usually & on live TV) version of Gloria "where are the cameras" Allred.

This is getting to be showbiz like Jerry Springer et al.

So I tell a sexually explicit joke to a female colleague or I make an advance. She complains to management or someone oversees or hears about it, and comes forward, because that’s the company policy. I’m called in before my supervisor and told to stop whatever, and I do, or if they have zero tolerance I’m fired.

The offended person, has a legitimate claim for damages? I think not.

Hostile takeover of Fox News, IMO. They will veer to the left now. If so then I will veer to my computer to find the news. So that will mean that the lazy lying leftist media will be in control of all of the TV news.

Oh, well, that’s true. Although Ailes may have harassed innocent women. I always thought he was weird with his obsession with blondes and plunging necklines and up-the-rearend dresses and false eyelashes. I’m hardly a puritan when it comes to beauty - but these women were all like cookie cutters.

Seems like every day after day, she is beginning to look like Rachel Mad-Cow. Is she doing this deliberately?

I'm starting to wonder. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but she often does have the best guests on the FNC prime time lineup.

Megyn Kelly is all about Megyn Kelly. I think she's trying to become the next Katie Couric or Oprah.

Replace Megyn Kelly with Harris Faulkner, FNC !!!
