Roger Stone: Ted Cruz 'is a dumb son of a bitch'
The Hill ^ | July 20, 2016 | Peter Schroeder

Posted on 07/20/2016 9:36:29 PM PDT by monkapotamus

"By Ted Cruz not supporting the nominee, he's exempted himself from real conservatives," he said. "No voter gives a crap about what Ted Cruz does. The only person this hurts is Ted Cruz..."

"Ted Cruz thinks he's Ronald Reagan. The problem is he's not anything near Reagan in terms of being an inspiring, likable figure," Stone said. "He's a dumb son of a bitch who thinks he's smarter than everybody else."

"He's a despicable human being," he added

Well, can't add anything to that. He's spot on!

He is dumb for walking right into a trap. The prime time speaking slot should have been a giveaway.

I don’t know if it’s stupidity or sheer, bloody arrogance. Either way it’s going to cost him.

Rush? He’s been more pro Trump.”

Not in the beginning.

Rush obviously supported Cruz like his brother, David. They ignored anything bad Cruz did. Trump supporters were getting attacked & Cruz said it was Trump’s fault.

Cruz claimed that Trump was making racist robo-calls. Rush never called him on this.

Cruz early on told a bunch of gay supporters in NY that he was afraid of Trump’s finger on the button.
etc.

Rush is now giving his support to Trump. I will be interested in what he says about Cruz today.

Cruz and the Never Trumpers are trying to throw the election by getting enough supporters to support the Libertarian party. Gary only needs two percent more and he has a seat at the debate. And may take enough votes away from Trump to throw the election to Hillary.

This is being orchestrated by the Bushes, Romney, and the Clintons. Gary and Cruz are willing fall guys.

There are certain people I will automatically turn off when they appear on TV. Cruz is now one of them. I used to think maybe he was OK. But as of now, I can’t stand the guy, at least as far as his political aspirations or public persona goes. When he talks, his words sound tinny and hollow to me - nothing solid, no ring of authenticity. Last night was no exception.

I just read a short biography on Benedict Arnold. What came through was a fatal flaw that Arnold’s personal ambition was more important than the lofty goals he was supposed to be fighting for. That’s Ted Cruz. Cruz supposedly stands for constitutional freedom but he’s shown me he puts his own political ambition and future first. In that sense, Ted Cruz is a Benedict Arnold as far as I’m concerned.

Someone said Cruz thinks he’s Reagan in 1976. Apparently his dad and apparently Cruz himself, think that Cruz has some sort of Divine Right to become President. I think they’re both nut jobs.

And if you want, I’ll tell you what I REALLY think about Cruz.

:)

“Yes, but Frank Luntz’s focus group was almost unanimous in their opinion that he would have been a sell-out to endorse Trump.”

I saw that. Better choice would have been to not go.

When Trump BLEW OUT Cruz all over the South he should have withdrawn from the race. Evangelicals saw right throw his BS and voted for a NY Yankee over a fraud.

Rush had a segment today already excusing Ted for not honoring the pledge because nobody expects anybody to honor pledges in the first place.

Rush knows better than that. You don't do deals in the Senate unless you can be depended upon to keep your part of the bargain. If Cruz couldn't endorse, he shouldn't have accepted the speaking slot.

Indeed.

Teddikins lied to Trump; he lied to the delegates; he lied to the party; he lied to the people; he lied to the country; he lied to the world; he lied to God.

Blaming Trump now. Ted says Trump knew he would not endorse. I think supposedly two hours before.

So now he blames Trump for allowing him to commit political suicide.

Maybe Trump was supposed to deny him the right to speak, so then he could claim Trump wants to shut down any dissention. It didn’t work and Ted went on anyway.

I suspect Cruz will end up on The Blaze and talking smack about Trump’s administration. It’s all Cruz has left.

“Cruz thinks he’s Ronald Reagan”

Reagan lost to Ford and in his speech he endorsed him as he was the chosen candidate.

Ted Cruz, you are no Ronald Reagan.

Maybe he needs to keep on fundraising because he needs to pay back his campaign debts, which must be considerable. Do I recall correctly that among his campaign creditors are Ted and Heidi Cruz??? I mean, didn't he lend himself money from their own private accounts?

Just asking'.
