And that is pretty much the point. There is no way to reconcile the difference between them, and if Cruz simply waived it off, his base would be gone. Two things can happen November 8th, Trump/Pence wins or Trump/Pence loses. If they win, then whether Trump serves two terms or one term and hands off to Pence, Cruz either has a very long wait or is completely done. If Trump/Pence loses, Cruz may not have the perfect path in 2020, but at least he will not have compromised with Trump. So it was the right call.

Someone make sure to quote Roger Stone on the morning of November 9th if Trump loses.

But Cruz broke his pledge...As a Bible believing born again Christian (what Cruz marketed himself to be~a man anointed by God, father preached in churches, etc.), that is reprehensible.

How do Christians, his major base, vote for a liar who breaks his promises?

His "base"???? What "base"?

You are as delusional as he is.

Cruz has nothing. Zip, zero, nada.

His repulsive behavior during the primary campaign had already tanked the bulk of any support.

By the end of this evening, he had lost all but his pathetic Amanda goomad, his weird father, 130 social media fans and 27 paid cable tv shills.

Toast.

Cruz has no future in politics now.

No matter which way it goes in November, or in 2020 or there after, he’s done, no doubt about it. People HATE sore losers.

He made a complete fool of himself and his personality won’t allow him to repair it, he’ll continue on his same self righteous path and continue to turn people off.

Nope, if Trump loses that only piles on the blame on Cruz.

If Cruz endorses, he is only seen as a “sellout” by radical RINOs—who aren’t voting for him ever again anyway.

Cruz could easily have endorsed trump without compromising himself. He only needed to focus his speech on the will of the voters and the need to defeat Hillary.

Time to bring out the butter and jam because Cruz is toast, burnt toast to be exact.
