DVDs will be replaced with SD card devices.............. Which will eventually be replaced with some sort of implanted RFID receiver.

I have to re-check my prepper supplies, but I think I still have plenty of spares.

DVDs will be replaced with SD card devices.............. I think the long-term direction is to have everything in a cloud. Wi-fi will continue to improve and costs will lower, which will make the need to store large files (such as movies) locally unnecessary.

you are correct
I bought a new router because to my dismay, my three year old router was dropping the internet on my wife’s computer
I hooked it up and the my web account produced a graphic showing the stuff receiving and transmitting. There were 10 devices!
There’s just me and my wife. I really had no idea

I agree. People with 4K TV’s pretty much have to stream 4K content.

***Japanese manufacturer Funai Electric***
Funai made the Magnavox DVD player/recorder and I use it quite often. It states this recorded DVD will play on Most DVD players and all Magnavox players.
Went to buy a new DVD player, and all they had was Funai, so I bought one. The remote will operate both the Funai and Magnavox players. The cases for both recorders are the same.
The Funai will NOT play the DVDs recorded from a Funai Magnavox recorder. Go figure!

You can't put a whole movie on one of those little disks. Anyway, the gramophone needle will wear right through it.
Kids these days.
