Well, four or five states is too much.
But, some separation might be ok.
The big question is, would it be mandatory or voluntary to live in the new BlackLand?
Mandatory.
If not, in 100-150 years our descendants will be experiencing exactly the same unrest we are seeing.
Add in the fact that Blackland will be the Somalia of the Americas.

If they want a black country, there are plenty in Africa that could use a regime change.
I guess this means, next time I drive down to Florida, I’ll need to stop for gas, food, and bathrooms in Rowland, NC, then hold it for another 5 hours until I get to Yulee, FL. Because I don’t think it would be safe for me to get off the interstate anywhere in Blackistan.

“Back to Africa movement”. Simply put, the US buys a 100 year lease on a large enclave in an African nation. No problem for them, as Africa is a huge continent. Then the US builds a city with all the trimmings, including water, power, free food and some retail. As well as a big fence to keep the Africans out.
It needs to be nice enough so that black Americans who are unhappy with life in America will want to move there for free. But no American corporation (like Planned Parenthood) will be allowed to set foot there, much less set up shop, as part of the lease agreement.
Half of the enclave will be devoted to prisoners currently in US prisons, except for the most murderous and heinous. Their sentences will be commuted on condition they take citizenship in their new country and never return to the US.
It will be up to those who voluntarily went there, in the other half of the enclave, to determine when and if those convicts can join them in their half.
The voluntary emigrants will have dual citizenship for 3-5 years, then they will become just citizens of their new nation.
They will continue to get free stuff for a limited time before the US discontinues involvement with them at all.

THE FREE STATE OF JONES is a remake of TAPROOTS (1948), and the claim blacks will get five states dates back to WWI when the Kaiser was said to have offered MEXICO a great deal to enter the war on Germany’s side.
Upon winning the following would happen in the USA...
All White Males would have their bank accounts seized and then executed.
All Indians would get their lands back.
Mexico would get their lands in the West back.
Blacks would be given five states for themselves to govern.
Germany would oversee the rest.
On the southern border in 1917, US Cavalry patrols often caught Mexican bandits with a flier stating the above claims.
