I don’t think the 30 second TV spot is going to be nearly as important in this election as in years past. Still needed but social media posts will have more impact than in the past and cost a fraction as much to produce and distribute.

my local gas station just installed gas pumps with TV screens in them. I went there because all other gas stations in my area have TV screens in the pumps as well - and I HATE being bombarded constantly with propaganda, sexual pandering and advertisements.
IMHO - cliched, hackneyed political messages from statist, talking-head, lying politicians are just the froth on the top of a deep ocean of media nonsense that every American now swims in. No one cares any longer. We know and expect what we are going to hear, and we tune it all out.

I love how pundits love to talk about all of Trump’s free political advertising from the news networks, and are utterly silent on the free advertising for Bill Clinton’s unconstitutional 3rd term as president.
That said, having seen the effect of blanket advertising by Clinton in California and the little effect it had, I hope they double down on buying television ads across the nation.
By the way, how’s her brother in law doing with that drunk driving charge? Is the FBI going to declare him similarly incompetent to have acted criminally?
