Clinton VP pick could face liberal ire
The Hill ^ | 07/23/2016 | Mike Lillis

Posted on 07/23/2016 8:24:15 AM PDT by Phlap

The moderate Democrat has backed abortion restrictions; supported fast-track authority for a controversial Pacific Rim trade deal; and just last week joined a push to deregulate some of the nation’s largest banks — all positions that are anathema to the liberals being wooed by the Clinton team heading into November.

And so begins the liberal medias attempt to portray this liberal hack as right of Herself. Good luck with that.

Hillary could have picked Charles Manson and it wouldn’t have mattered. The Media’s job is to get Hillary elected and they will shield her, promote her, and vilify her opponents using every means available to them.

What Does Bernie Sanders Think Of Tim Kaine? He May Not Support Him

Charles Chamberlain, the executive director of Democracy for America released a statement on Thursday that suggested Kaine would not be a good pick, considering “his vote for fast track authority for the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership and this newly uncovered push for bank deregulation.”

Given Sanders’ calls to break up the banks and reform Wall Street, Kaine doesn’t seem like a likely contender for Sanders’ support, either.

Clinton already has work to do to gain support from Sanders supporters, and it doesn’t seem like Kaine would be the way to go, considering his support for the TPP and for deregulating banks. Though Kaine’s base in Virginia will certainly help the presumptive Democratic nominee in the swing state, a more progressive VP pick might have done well to bridge the gap between moderate Democrats and progressives.

A Bloomberg Politics poll from last month showed that nearly half of Americans who voted in support of Sanders’ campaign — to rebuild the middle class, change the campaign financing system, break up financial institutions on Wall Street, and build a more socialized health care and education system — will not support Clinton. It would seem that choosing a VP pick to secure that vote would be especially important to her campaign’s success.

Hillary figures the liberals have nowhere to go. Are they going to vote for Trump? No. So she needs to rope in the moderate Democrats, if any are left.

None of this matters because the 2016 election has nothing to do with Democrats vs. Republicans, or liberals vs. conservatives.

The 2016 election is all about Goldman Sachs globalists vs. Americans. The long list of Republicans who have come out against Donald Trump is just one manifestation of that. Hillary Clinton, this Kaine guy, and most of Congress (Democrat and Republican alike) is firmly in the Goldman Sachs camp.

I can’t wait to see how the media report on the Democrat convention.

Their twisted biased reporting on the “dark” GOP convention with Trump was so obviously slanted. The GOP was in chaos. They plaigerized speeches by Democrat luminaries such as Michelle Obama. They pointed out how various prominent Republicans chose not to attend. Trump is a loose cannon and all that.

I don’t even have to watch the Democrat convention to know what the reporting will be like. Hillary will be elevated to sainthood. This will be contrasted with the mean GOP, and Donald Trump will be said to be the 2nd coming of Adolph Hitler over and over again.

I have a stupid question about “diversity”. How do Democrats justify picking a white man, yet another white man, as their VP running mate??? They preach so much about diversity, and always tell us the Republicans are the party of older white voters, and that minorities of every stripe need to find their political home in the Democrat party. Yet we see the Democrat ticket is two white people. Will anyone criticize this fact???? Or will it be glossed over because, well, just because we got Hillary, and Hillary is now a saint????

So true. It isn’t about party or ideology. It’s come down as a race pitting globalism vs. nationalism.

Kind of surprised she didn’t pick a Latino, black or openly gay. You know, that whole identity politics thing.

Hard as it is to believe, all I can figure is that being a cold calculating machine finally got to her, and she picked someone she really liked instead of the political choice.

She picked money and assumes the Occupy types, blacks and Hispanics will turn out and vote for her. This may accelerate the realignment.

Oh, the Democrat Convention will be a media lovefest of
orgyastic proportions! - With two old, whites at the top
of the ticket, it will be akin to royalty ascending their
thrones. . and, THEN, the piece d’resistance when
“First Laddie” candidate, Billious Clintoon, graces the
meeting hall with his royal presence - the applause will
swell to a crescendo as his adoring fans cheer and CLAP
(sorry for that word) for their HERO!!!!! Will MONICA
attend? THAT is the BURNING QUESTION!!!

Ah yes. The night Bill Clinton speaks, Chris Mathews may get tingles as Clinton nostalgia permeates the convention, and the lap dog media in attendance.

What a contrast of conventions we will see.

We’ll see speaker after speaker condemn Donald Trump as the 2nd coming of Adolph Hitler. Trump will be compared to Hitler, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, and Darth Vader.

The GOP will be said to be racist, sexist, xenophobic, anti-science due to being against global warming, etc. etc. etc.

The Democrats have an unappealing record to run on for the past eight years of their presidency. They have an unappealing presidential candidate. So I predict the Democrat message will boil down to fear of Donald Trump. Vote for Hillary to keep Trump and the GOP out of the White House. The Democrats will have no positive message. It will all be based on fear.

This makes me laugh a bit, because the liberals and the media told us how Trump’s speech was so “dark”, and painted a depressing view of the future. And that he was appealing to people’s fears.

But the Democrat “sales pitch” is going to boil down to: Vote for Hillary to keep Trump out of the White House. Whatever your misgivings about the Clintons, vote for Hillary based on your fears about Trump. That’s what the Democrats will be telling voters.

hillary figures...

Stop right there. hillary has NO strategic skills. With the release of the emails about the DNC rigging the process even beyond their exclusionary rules, Sanders and his supporters should be demanding Sanders be chosen VP. Except it's beginning to look as if Sanders wanted to make a point, get some vanity stuff that doesn't matter in the platform, and go back to finish his term as a lazy US Senator.

My point? Sanders supporters have been used and abandoned. They should vote for Trump.
