I’m glad they were found so quickly. I guess the officer’s car and phone indicated his location. Maybe there was a camera on the hood of his police car, also providing more info, maybe the license plates of the killer’s car.
These young men have just ruined their lives and the lives of the officer’s family. They must have been higher than a kite to do this. Why else would you throw your life away on such a hateful act? Facebook needs to monitor certain types of websites more closely. We have our own jihad in the works right here, thanks to BLM (and Obama!) beating the drum over and over.
Lewis was charged with capital murder, so he could be eligible for the death penalty. The district attorney doesn't need to make that decision for a couple of weeks.
Sipple's Facebook site was full of pictures of him smoking weed, flashing gang signs, and posing with a pistol. I wonder if the families realize just how ridiculous they sound when they protest that their babies are so misunderstood?
KCMO is the bigger of the two. The airport is there, the sports teams are there, all the cultural amenities are there. KCK was always blue collar, primarily eastern European. Over time the black and Hispanic population has grown. It's developed a growing gang problem. The area where these two were first spotted by police is a public housing project.
About ten years ago the county and the KCK government consolidated so legally KCK takes up all of Wyandotte county other than a handful of towns that predated the consolidation. There are some very nice parts of town now, out by the Kansas Speedway, and some gentrification going on in the inner city. But there are also still some pretty bad areas.
KCMO has it's own problems east of Troost. They give the rougher parts of KCK a run for their money.

Why don’t those moms get a clue about these “rough crowds” (yes, I do believe they have a baleful influence) and care enough about their innocent little babies to keep them OUT of the rough crowds (and the rough crowds away from them) so they will stay innocent.
It’s not like nothing at all can be done about a “rough crowds” problem.
When will black lives matter enough that their moms (at least, if not their dads) will keep them out of the gangs, out of the gang mentality.
Maybe some kind of big brothers program would make sense in ‘hooded areas.
I’m still kind of limited in what I would reprove such mamas about. It’s kind of hard to catch a man if all the men you know are more interested in having a blast with their buddies than staying around and guiding their kids, or their stepkids, right.
Where are the men. These boys are so hungry for someone to play father in their lives, that they will abjectly yield themselves to gang-banging (in more than one sense) norms. The men need to be rebuilt. Maybe some of them WILL be horrible cases like these, who learned the very hardest way in the school of hard knocks.
There is something to be said for lowering the boom on cases like this in public. “Flog a mocker and the simple [fools] will learn wisdom.” But someone still has to be teaching wisdom; it can’t be merely fear and loathing that are speaking in this picture.
