I heard Mark Levin arguing that there was no pledge. I have no idea what his logic for that is.

Them boys are pretty durn quick on the uptake over at the WaPo, ain’t they?
To: glorgau
“How in the world did he think that hed get around the pledge?”
Hubris, and his extraordinary Felitocentric view of the universe. That is one possibility.
The other possibility is that he is owned by others, and that he took the kamikaze mission under orders, and he would be taken care of later. Equally plausible, but the goofy, demented smirk makes me think the former is the truth.

Like his statement that Reagan did not endorse and support Ford.
Tiny loafers Levin is just making it up at this point, worse than Baghdad Bob, who was at least likeable in a banana republic kind of way.

It is incredible that Levin still has some fans here on Free Republic.

Levin has been outed.
He is dead to me.
I tuned in the other day while driving home and was once again reminded of his schtick, and immediately turned him off.
He adds nothing to the discourse except greasy anti-Trump penumbras. Who paid him, I wonder?

Yes it does. It's another illustration that "actions have consequences."
Cruz betrayed his trust and now he is paying for that betrayal.

“Maybe Cruz did get money from the DNC.”
If so, let’s hope that it will be revealed, who sent it, and the amount.

I agree.
Ted screwed up bad. I don’t know if he can recover politically.
That said, I hope he does because he is the purest conservative out there and but for this inexplicable incident we need this articulate and most of the time intelligent man.

I was a Cruz supporter...for a while. Then I got to know him better. I have now decided that not everyone hates Ted Cruz.
Some people haven’t met him yet.
