Clinton Campaign Plans to Pull a Romney on Donald Trump

A new spin on an old attack

As they gather in Philadelphia Monday to nominate Hillary Clinton, Democrats plan to take a lesson, if not outright direction, from their playbook for defeating the last wealthy Republican nominee, Mitt Romney.

Four years ago, Barack Obama relentlessly caricatured Romney as an out-of-touch millionaire, who could not relate to the needs and concerns of ordinary workers. Clinton’s campaign plans to do the same — and worse — with their new enemy, Donald Trump, honing their attack on the bombastic billionaire, as a leader who only looks out for himself.

Joel Benenson, the Obama-turned-Clinton ad-maker, previewed the assault in an interview with TIME. “He’s been a deadbeat when it comes to paying people who did work for him, and I don’t think that’s what white working-class voters are looking for in a President,” said Benenson.

What I would like Trump to say,”I don’t pay for sub par work. Why should the American people?”

They are really getting desperate. The attack worked with Romney, but it won’t with Trump. As soon as she starts that meme, Trump will counter with how she really treats the “little people.”

There is nothing she can do that he cannot turn against her.

Yeah, Hillary is really in touch with the working class. Her servants are like one of the family.

I am sure Trump can dig-up plenty of ex-Secret Service and White House staff who were sick of being screeched at and having lamps thrown in their direction.

Besides they started those attacks on Romney in May.
It’s too late now.

Romney was no Trump. They are just going to be set up for another epic pasting. By the time the election gets here these idiots won’t even want to crawl out from under their beds.

Hillary needs to worry about leaving Philadeplphia alive. She’d better not worry about going after Trump until after she gets away from the enraged Bernie supporters!

they have one problem there has to be some Kernel of truth when you paint a false narrative for it to be successful. the other problem is that you can take the same brush that they are trying to paint trump with and paint Hillary

[Trump will counter with how she really treats the “little people.”]

Yup. Just like how HRC called Trump an misogynist womanizer....

...and he mentioned Bill.

Game Over.

I don’t think starting a pi$$ing match with the Donald is a very good tactic. Be fun to watch though.

Romney has proven he had no clue what was going on around him.
He still has no clue.
Trump is in touch with everything including American workers.

This will fail

In other words, they’ve got nuthin’.

Could they not afford one last (mercenary) stand by Carville?

Or is he out of the game? This is definitely sub-par for the Clintons.

Preparing to fight the last war is always a mistake.

Trump stiffing some subcontractor will not convince Americans they want illegals, Muslims... Or Hillary.

Romney acted the part assigned to him by the Democrats. He looked the part. He talked the part. Trump is another thing altogether. The Democrats don’t usually get caught up in fighting the last war but Trump is so far out of the pages of the playbook that they are not having an easy time figuring out how to counter him. He also stays a couple of steps ahead of his opposition.

yup bring it on.

obammy & mammy xlinton are so brilliant.

I guess they didn’t read that earlier email dump that outlined the hildabeast line up of dirty tricks they planned on using on trump.

trump deals with local union grievers in NYC everyday that are sharper and shiftier that these life time gummit pols who have never had a job.

PS: my bet is that, if they ever make it to a debate, trump will have hildabeast crying or convulsing.

or both.

PPS: what’s the over and under on how long her potty break will take during the debate???
