Clinton aide on email leaks: 'I don't think they're done'

PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton's campaign is bracing for the possibility of more damaging emails being leaked to the public as the presidential campaign enters its home stretch.

Jennifer Palmieri, communications director for Hillary for America, said it’s possible that more emails will be released at a time designed to inflict maximum political pain to Democrats. “The WikiLeaks leak was obviously designed to hurt our convention,” she told reporters. “I don’t think they’re done. That’s how they operate. “We can’t know, but it’s part of the reason that we wanted people to understand our belief that the Russians are behind this,” she said. “People need to understand — when these leaks happen — what they’re designed to do.”

Palmieri added that the Clinton campaign was not worried about its own email security.

The first day of the Democratic National Convention was upended by the WikiLeaks release over the weekend of more than 20,000 internal emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Some of those emails suggested that officials at the DNC, which is supposed to be neutral during the party’s presidential primary, worked against Sen. Bernie Sanders

(I-Vt.) and favored Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee

“Well now that Assange is getting Democrats into trouble versus getting American Troops killed, he may FINALLY see a jail cell.”

For what, the Swedish rape charge? We will know that he’s “effective” when the Obola Admin. gets directly involved in trying to get him out of the Equadorian Ebassy in London. As far as I’m concerned, we need to let him do as much damage to the RATS as he can right now!

Julian Assange has said that the next release will likely result in the indictment of Hillary Clinton.

Sorry, Jules. NOTHING will result in her indictment. NOTHING! Comey and Lynch will just stall until PARDONMAGEDDON comes on January 19.

There is a danger Assange is using this as a bargaining chip. Negotiations could be going on even as we speak. Get me out of this basement and I won’t release the most damaging emails.

It’s because they’re motivated to undermine Trump, suggesting a “Foreign country” is helping the Trump campaign. Them even suggesting Trump was somehow involved is nothing but malicious slander. The Clinton’s have lots of enemies. They’ve thrown a bunch of people under the bus over the decades, and now they’re coming back to haunt H.Clinton.

This Russian speculation is now emblazoned on CNN’s website.

It is a new record for utter hypocrisy and propaganda from the leftists and the press. If the Russians were responsible for hacking into the DNC mail servers then they obviously were able to, and very likely did hack into Hillary's own server full of classified communications. And in that case the emails weren't just evidence of the scheming ways of a political party, but information about critical national security matters.

But how would the Russians know that the DNC server would be full of evidence of corruption? Simple, they've been reading Hillary's emails for a long time.

Of course you don't need to do much spying to know that the DNC is corrupt to the core, and even an ordinary hacker interested in democracy and supporting Bernie Sanders would be motivated to blow the whistle on Clinton and her cronies.

Accusing the Russians, likely as it is to just be a diversion with as much truth as the film that lead to the "protests" in Libya, shows just how important and reckless Hillary's own decision to set up a private email server was.

Apart from her utter corruption, she simply lacks the judgement to be elected to office.

Well now that Assange is getting Democrats into trouble versus getting American Troops killed, he may FINALLY see a jail cell.

#####################################

He’s already in one. The Embassy where he’s staying, the one which he can’t step a foot out of, is just a nicer jail.

Is there really a principled difference whether the Russians try to influence an election vs the DNC?

I'd say that blowing the whistle on corruption is much different than doing the corrupt acts. Even when the whistleblower or informant themselves has less than perfect motivations, they still perform a public service.

A foreign power helping to smoke out corruption is actually a good thing. Of course it is very likely that the whole "Russia did it" story was written by the same intern as the "The Libyans were protesting a movie" story and they are both just more Clinton lies.

The same generations kept in ignorance by the left about the real threat of world domination by Soviet communism until the fall of the USSR are now supposed to be terrified of anything about Putin/Russia. Will it work?

it’s part of the reason that we wanted people to understand our belief that the Russians are behind this,” she said.

Suddenly an enemy of America is trying to defeat H.Clinton to help the evil Trump campaign.

This is their latest political script narrative.

Yes, let’s blame the Russians... never mind that the content of the emails shows continual patterns of nefarious/illegal behavior and that the Democrats continue to be totally careless when protecting secrets - even their own.

This is tantamount to having piles of cocaine stacked in your car’s back seat and then complaining about the police officer pointing out the obvious during a routine traffic stop.

A Clinton administration would be completely strategically compromised from Day 1. Their handling of secure information has probably set our foreign policy relations back by two decades.

Maybe the GOP should start referring to this scandal as ‘binders of classified emails’ in the hands of Russians.

I agree. It very well could have been Israel behind the hack. My bottom line though is, I don’t care who did it. They deserve a medal for further exposing the corrupt democrats.

Half a century ago LBJ famously said that he'd "have those n*****s voting for us for the next two hundred years". That is well-documented. Yet few black people seem to know about it, let alone take offense.

I do think Putin knows that the West will be taken over by Islamists soon enough and might be thinking of Russia then becoming target.

I have yet to hear one good plausible explanation as to WHY the Russians would want to sink Hillary’s chance to be POTUS.

I think they believe Trump will be more isolationist than Clinton. Hillary is an extension of Obama who destabilized the middle east and has been meddlesome in Syria. Russia may prefer an inexperienced real estate guy to a former Secretary of State. Also Hillary being a woman may feel she has to make sure the world knows she is no pushover and could overreach to prove something. Trump on the other hand is comfortable in his own skin and everyone knows not to mess with him.
