Clinton Friend McAuliffe Says Clinton Will Flip On TPP

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, longtime best friend to the Clintons, said Tuesday that he believes Hillary Clinton will support the TPP trade deal if elected president, with some tweaks.

“I worry that if we don’t do TPP, at some point China’s going to break the rules -- but Hillary understands this,” he said in an interview after his speech on the main stage at the Democratic National Convention. “Once the election’s over, and we sit down on trade, people understand a couple things we want to fix on it but going forward we got to build a global economy.”

Pressed on whether Clinton would turn around and support the trade deal she opposed during the heat of the primary fight against Bernie Sanders, McAuliffe said: “Yes. Listen, she was in support of it. There were specific things in it she wants fixed.”

China’s going to break the rules

Let's stick with that. We don't need a global economy.

Of course she will. Goldman Sachs wants it to happen and they own her and a s-—t load of other paid staff that win senate elections...

BS!!!!!!!!!!!

TPP will be passed and signed in the Lame Duck session with the GOP leading.

Hillary's team will write the implementation legislation, and that too will pass.

Easily.

Only Trump will stop TPP because he will refuse to implement the Lame Duck passage.

This is the leading edge of the greatest set of policy flip flops you are ever likely to see. Sanders forced Clinton left. But now that she has secured the nomination, she will repudiate what she said to defeat Bernie in a big swing to the center. She will repudiate her prior policy positions with a brazen audacity that will make your head spin. All of which is par for the course for a politician who will say whatever she thinks it takes to get elected.

God help us if she is actually elected.

She was for it before she was against it.

Exactly - the calculation on this is simple. He who gives the most money wins and the opposition to TPP is not exactly the deep pocket crowd.

No contest on this one.

I bet the Keystone pipeline would pass with her also after a few donations and a couple of speeches.

Wake up America!

FWIW - I support the pipeline - only using it to illustrate that whoever gives them money gets what they want no matter what she is saying right now.

Shes “Evolving” on the subject just like Obama did on Gay marriage.

In other words she will say whatever she has to to get elected because she is a liar I mean a hack politician.

"...but going forward we got to build a global economy.”

Within twenty five years, all around the globe, poor masses will be left to starve where they lie when the socialist global economy crashes due to lack of an incentive to produce. Old people here will already have been euthanized to minimize our suffering.
