On a very simplistic level (of which 90% of voters are on), this IRS investigation of Clinton, helps Trump. I was concerned when Manifort said today that Trump wouldn’t be releasing his tax returns, but the new Clinton announcement totally neutralizes any argument. It’s a negative on the Clintons and a neutral for Trump.

The delay in starting an investigation was caused by the careful manner in which the investigators wrote out the statement completely exonerating the foundation. Now that they have their result, they can begin the probe.
