Watters world is entertaining but sad. Not one person knew any picture he held up, i.e. carter, Reagan, bush etc. And they can vote. They all would vote for bieber.
This country is so screwed. The future is dim.
Two points:
1) Yes, he feel that “White trash Americans” should not be able to vote.
2) He feels that you should be arrested for even mentioning the concept of “Black trash Americans”.
And black high school dropouts and gang bangers favor democrats - in near unanimous proportions, and have for some time. In fact, if you polled any prison, among the murderers, the rapists and the gang bangers, hardly a single one would support any republican.
This is a condescending review of a book that is not condescending at all. It’s honest and thoughtful, even loving toward people who were often not particularly lovable. Well worth a read. Sorry this is what the Post did with it.
Democrats have spent the last several decades ridiculing and ignoring white working class Americans. Now that their presidential candidate is a real lemon and in big trouble they’ve “rediscovered” these voters who for many years were the backbone of their party. That small crowd Hillary and Kaine had turnout for them today in Pennsylvania will be commonplace for that ticket throughout the Rust Belt. Working class Americans will not be in their corner. Their votes will overwhelmingly go to Trump and help him win the election.
For the same reason everybody else does!

If there was a list of the newspapers in this country that employ “white trash” as would-be journalists, the New York Post would top the list, followed closely by the New York Times and the Washington Post. Scum, writing for the edification of other scum.
