I’ve been listening but not able to get on-thread until now. I laughed out loud when Rush said that. I wish he’d call out the girl though who was making the comments that “she knows people tougher than Clint Eastwood, blahblah” - because of course they’d still be in the minority of the younger generations he’s criticizing. Most do NOT fall into the category the girl was mentioning!
I wish Rush would talk about Romney and the invisible Republican cabal who are behind all the nevertrump smears.

I’m one hundred percent convinced Romney is behind the anti-Trump smears coming out from inside the Republican party (loosely).
And I think he’s driving the agenda for people “leaving” the GOP and saying they’ll vote for Hillary.
Almost every person who has publicly come out to denounce Trump and claim they’re voting for Hillary, is a Romney associate.
EVERY ONE.
They’re not all that invisible.

Okay, I've spent some time out in that country and know how clannish they can be...pretty much the same as our "hillbillies" in Montana, as a matter of fact. We've been here for almost 20 years now and I suspect that old-timers here still refer to me as "That kid that married into that ______ ranch". (And The Homestead hasn't operated under the original family ranch name since 1970....)
Still, if there is trouble, phones start ringin' and pickups start drivin' up the lane to sorta see if you need a hand with that stuff. Had a little bitty grass fire a few years ago that I was out working and first thing I knew, I had four neighbors diggin' and sprayin' right along with me.....heck of a way to get introduced to your neighbors and I'd bet that those WV folks do the same as the MT in a pinch.
...and what's with this "old" stuff? I'd bet you a sixpack I've got more birthdays down than you do and I've got a brand-new great-grand daughter to prove it.

Sorry to hear about that. My buddy died about a year and a half ago. I still miss him. Wife thought a replacement would help, and it does, a little bit - well, I love the replacement, he’s a good doggie too. But I still miss my old friend, and still blubber about it from time to time.
