Following the Democratic National Convention, Hillary Clinton now leads Donald Trump by 8 points — 50 percent to 42 percent — up from a single-point difference last week, according to the latest NBC News|SurveyMonkey poll.

Clinton's gain also comes after a series of controversial comments made by the Republican nominee this past week regarding the family of a fallen American soldier and Trump's suggestion that Russian hackers should seek out deleted Clinton emails.

Yep, right on point. They baited the trap with Mr. Khan perfectly.

I didn't hear him. I wouldn't listen because he is a Mohammedan and therefore a liar. I don't even know the story of the son and don't care. I am more representative of the public than your whining self. What ax are you grinding? No one will in the end care about these two fine representatives of the culture of death. Ted is out. Live with it.

This is a close election. The electorate does not swing as wildly as these polls indicate. Hillary could be in the lead, but it is not an 8 point lead, a 10 point lead, or whatever the MSM has cooked up.

OK, my prediction was a >10 or 10 point swing in favor of Hillary. Only slightly off.

And they can make %^*# up on however the survey method(s) they use/change accordingly, but that same margin (near 10 point difference) will be 'maintained at all cost' till November.

Few have landline phones anymore, and those of us who do don’t pick up unless we recognize the number on the caller ID.

Add to that the growing scores of people who enjoy LYING to pollsters just to see that look of shock and horror on their faces Election Night, and polling is quickly going the way of the VCR.

Polling agencies have been embarrassed a lot lately when election results are tallied.

And people who claim all the polls are fixed were embarrassed a lot in 2008 and 2012

It amounts to a 10 point swing for the candidate who can neither hold a press conference nor get more than a few hundred people to show up for a rally.

False or fixed.

2+ point lead for Trump.

They are getting these 50% numbers through the most ridiculous of gymnastics. Suffolk and ABC asked for “youngest [voter] in the home” badly skewing the polls liberal. CNN/ORC’s sample was . . . 48% INDEPENDENT, and only 24% Republican. Huh????

CNN also completely left out the 18-35 demo, I’m guessing because it didn’t help their polling.

They aren’t all jimmying the data, but all ARE oversampling Ds badly (+2-+6)

I don’t have a landline, and yes, if I don’t know the number, I don’t answer.

You may be on to something.

Bull.
They had to rig the polls so there won’t be riots when Hillary steals it.

Our only hope is WiliLeaks exposing the truth.

Rush recently discussed changes made to polling methods.

He reported that Pat Caddell had pointed out that some major polls dropped “undecided” as an option just after the convention, which forced a few points change. Another technique used was to drop the Libertarian and Green Party candidates as options from the poll.

Caddell said that purpose behind the timing of the change, was to give Hillary the appearance of a bump from the convention.

5,358 registered Republican voters (+/-1.8%) and 5,809 registered Democratic voters (+/-1.7%).

No bias there!

That would be biased if there were an equal number of Democrats and Republicans. But there are more Democrats:

Don’t disagree, but it is obvious by now or it should be. This campaign is not going to be about what Hillary says or does - it is going to be a full out attack on Trump nationally and especially in the swing states.

They are betting that Trump will defeat himself. Every time Trump opens himself up they are going to turn it into a hysterical mess (just like the Kahn mess) and use it to drown out his positive message and discussion about issues. They will do everything to define the race as a referendum on Trump’s suitability for the office and all they have to do is convince the mushy swing voters in the swing states.

Polling agencies have been embarrassed a lot lately when election results are tallied.

You rig the polls so when the voting fraud kicks in it looks to people like it was legit.

Maybe expecting a lot of support from the illegal vote?

I couldn’t stand to watch the Democrat convention, but scanning some of the transcripts, this jumped out in Billy-boys stemwinder:
“if you love this country, you’re working hard, you’re paying taxes and you’re obeying the law and you’d like to become a citizen, you should choose immigration reform over somebody that wants to send you back.”

Not a blink from the MSM of course.
