A doctor backed by agriculture and business groups ousted U.S. Rep. Tim Huelskamp Tuesday in a Kansas Republican primary race that focused on the tea party-backed incumbent's battles with GOP leaders and criticism that he was too cantankerous to be effective.

Great Bend obstetrician Roger Marshall won the tough contest against Huelskamp in the 1st District, which spans western and much of central Kansas.

First nail in the coffin was voting for Ryno to replace Boehner.

So Coulter says Huelskamp disavowed Trump, while Erickson says he tithed himself to Trump? Are they saying the opposite of one another, or am I misinterpreting?

Huelskamp went on Fox News Sunday a few weeks ago to trash Trump. Kiss of death. I hope Ryan and McCain are next.

Sounds like he was a Ted Cruz supporter that became a “Ryan type” Trump supporter.

http://www.kansas.com/news/politics-government/election/article86352772.html

Both candidates made it clear they support Trump and vehemently oppose Clinton. But they offered contrasting approaches to a Trump presidency.

Marshall: “I will support the president and work with him to get things done.”

Huelskamp: “One thing to know about Tim Huelskamp is I have conservative principles, and I’m going to stand on those conservative principles. If you don’t have conservative principles, I will work against you.”

I didn’t know that, but it makes sense. He’s saying the same things as Ryan. This is good news.

A guy who talks in 3rd person about his ‘principles’ definitely deserved to lose.

Well, the GOPe got their guy. We just lost a Tea Party conservative because the television ads against Huelskamp worked.

Hosted by Chris Wallace

He obviously didn’t support Trump, but gave the same replies as Ryan. Ryan was his guy, not Trump.

My Senator is doing the same. Was to busy to support Trump, but pretends to support him now. Ryan and the GOP elites are still planning to sabotage Trump. Good riddance!

Typical GOPe hiding behind the conservative label. That’s how they managed to give us Ryan. I didn’t think they could do worse than Boehner, but they did.

Coulter and Ericson are in harmony. Erickson blames the voters for rejecting Huelscamp by following Trump, not that Huelscamp was following Trump.

This was a loss for the no Trump set. As late as May this guy was #nevertrump. Erickson would be the last person to admit the truth.

July 5th, 2016
HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today endorsed Tim Huelskamp for re-election in Kansas’s First Congressional District.
***********************************************************

I said Toxic Ted’s endorsement would be the Kiss of Death.
