So Coulter says Huelskamp disavowed Trump, while Erickson says he tithed himself to Trump? Are they saying the opposite of one another, or am I misinterpreting?
Coulter and Ericson are in harmony. Erickson blames the voters for rejecting Huelscamp by following Trump, not that Huelscamp was following Trump.
The way I see it is if Ann Coulter likes it and Fatboy Erickson dislikes it, it's a good thing!
Erikson tried to make it that those who back Trump are anti-conservative and those who oppose him (even though that would help Hillary into the WH) are the "true conservatives"...
That appears to be the case, but, as I recall, Huelskamp was a member of the #NEVERTRUMP crowd, which isn’t mentioned n the AP article. While I think his defeat is primarily due to opposition and funding from the R side of the uniparty, I’d like to think that his opposition to Trump was a contributing factor.
