“And Mr. Cruz has fired off statements, both on Twitter and through his Senate office, pursuing some of his favorite policy issues, including bashing President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran...”

Then why did he vote for Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran? He must be a mental case — “somebody stop me!”

Remember his website entry, he voted for it so he could continue to speak against it?

Bottom line for meus now: another Harvard law school attorney. Attorneys are America’s biggest problem. Ivy league lawyers like Obama, the Clintons, Cruz, Lynch are the most dangerous attorney problem.

His psyc unit in Canada will only allow LyinTed visiting hours between 1-2 pm and phone hours from 3- pm, M-F!

They have a lot of serious work to prepare him to run for the Canadian PM job.

He has a lot of work ahead of him. Cruz blew up so many bridges at the convention that even if he does win renomination and reelection then it’s going to be a whole lot harder than it could have been

Thank you for not damning Cruz.

I’m voting for Trump. I also think it is not helpful for FReepers to continue to trash Cruz. We need former Cruz supporters to get Trump elected. Time to stop the vitriol and simply support Trump.

Thanks Jim.

I had been seriously considering discontinuing my support of FR because of all the folks “who know and hate” Ted Cruz and post to that effect. I was concerned that you may be one of them. I will continue my support.

I still believe Cruz is simply being the honest man of principle. He pitted himself against those who I consider to be of questionable honor, integrity and faith who were willing to create and perpetuate untrue memes to take down any and all opponents. (I understand the argument folks have regarding doing the right thing versus doing whatever is necessary to win... people of faith have to make that kind of choice, knowing that The Lord will sort it out His own way.)

I used to appreciate the Conservative Treehouse and Sundance’s analysis of the elites’ long range plans. I believed their motivation was that of a true conservative. Once CTH and Sundance started misrepresenting Cruz... not so much, they have been a source of much of the anti-Cruz screed and have therefor brought their motives into question for me.

Cruz has long been in the cross-hairs of the elites on the purported left and right. Now these false memes are being propagated to take down a man of honor, in my opinion. I believe the hate is motivated by Cruz’s being a man with a true anchor in truth and ‘their’ desire to ensure that ‘they’ won’t be held accountable for their schemes and actions on this earth.

FR is filled with postings that propagate the hate that I fear it has been co-opted, despite your indication of support for Cruz.

If you want to rebuild your political brand, Senator Cruz, keep your word. If you want to be seen as a man of principle, which is why I thought you were doing this instead of anything so crass as forwarding your political career, keep your word. That’s not being a servile puppy, that’s being a mature adult.

Cruz is scholastic book smart. His college grades prove it. Beyond that, read my tag line below.

A man of “true anchor in truth” would not lie about Carson, renege on his pledge to support whoever the nominee was, vote for TPA, vote for Coker bill or ride in AF1 with Obama. Nor would that man have neglected to tell voters he was a citizen of Canada when he ran for senate until the media exposed it. I pity the man who through arrogance threw Conservative values under the bus.

Based on your repetition of oft stated and ill supported talking points, you appear to me to be someone who would well be replaced by a wall if I attempted to engage.
It’s not worth the effort.

If you cared to investigate more deeply and with intellectual honesty, I believe you would find that the memes you spout have good reason to question their basis in fact, especially if you could look at them dispassionately.
I’m near certain you do not wish to make the effort.

To me, those who are arrogantly attacking Cruz are the ones that have thrown conservatism under the bus.

(By the way, a pledge to “support” is not a commitment to “endorse”. It seems to me Cruz has supported Trump ever since he suspended his campaign.)
