I was just reading that Michael Phelps, who was chosen by his teammates to carry the U.S. flag in the opening ceremonies, was being pressured by the media to hand that honor over to an African-American Muslim fencer who has probably never won a medal - all to shame Trump. I'm sure that Valerie Jarret's fingerprints are on this one.

Wish I could join you but it isn’t showing here for 3 hours! Can’t wait. I know some Olympians and I am looking forward to watching a lot if I can! People pooh pooh this but it is kids from all over the world, loving their sport, excellence on display, hard work with very remote payoffs for many years. I love it. Praying for a peaceful, upbeat competition. Go USA and the rest of the world too! (I have favorite athletes from different countries).

i love the Olympics...i’ve been to the games on four separate instances; LA ‘84, Calgary ‘88, Atlanta ‘96, SLC ‘02...
we seriously considered going to Rio for these games- Praise God we decided against it....
