As an aside, I just got through to Cspan and here is how the call went. [the topic for the first Washington Journal segment was -"are you and any of your family members -having rifts because of Hillary and Trump.

When my city was announced I was on the air and I said "....good morning, my name is Mr Apple and I have some comments about Mr Khan who gave his speech at the democrat convention. It turns out that Mr Khan worked for the law firm of Hogan and Hartson and Loretta Lynch also worked for the Hogan law firm."

Then I went on to say that "...Mr Khan is now off in Pakistan giving speeches there against Mr Trump for $25,000 each and btw, I got this information ---and this is important now --- I get my information from a political website, free republic.com."

Next, I went on to say (for the benefit of the topic being discussed) 'that my cousin in Dallas has been debating with me over the Trump and Hillary campaigns." Then I said that "...Hillary was on Meet the Press last Sunday and she was lying about her lies."

Then they said that they had to go to other calls and my call ended.

<><><>

The whole point of me bringing this up is to tell everyone how easy it is to be live on Cspan / Washington Journal and make comments. I had to dial continuously for about five minutes before I got through. When I did get through, a guy asked my name and I said Mr Apple. He then asked me my zip code and I told him. He told me that this segment of Cspan this morning is "...are there any rifts in your family because of Hillary and Trump."

I was put on hold and I could hear the Cspan program on the air while I was waiting on hold. Then after, waiting approx. 7 or 8 minutes, they got to my call.

My call to Washington Journal was at approx. 6:45 am, approx and hour ago. I believe Washington Journal repeats their morning on air segments each evening. Some nights they do and some nights they do not. If it does repeat tonight you can listen as to how callers are introduced and what initial questions will be asked of you.

Because it was so easy for me to get through to Washington Journal, I'm hoping now that all posters will also try to get through. The numbers to call Washington Journal are placed on the screen every couple minutes.

Lastly, I'm hoping that a poster here will take over posting my Cspan spiel here at fr (posted below) because I and my wife are going on a six week driving tour of the country and I won't be posting while on our vacation trip.

Below, is the information about how to get through to Washington Journal on Cspan. Hopefully posters will try to get on air over the next 94 mornings until election day. It was easy to get through and all the while I was just sitting back and watching the news. No big deal. And the calls are at no charge. So everyone should try calling in and show your support for free republic and for Mr Trump. (if I have the patience to call in and get through to Washington Journal, then everyone here can also :)

All Free Republic members -there is one Key thing we can all do to help Mr Trump win in November. And that is, every morning we all need to - - call in to C-span and if it's busy, keep trying. The program is called 'Washington Journal' (Cspan will have the Call In phone numbers -on the screen- right after they've spent a few minutes discussing the first topic for the morning)

When you get through the first thing you will hear is something like this:

"Cspan, where are you calling from?"
And then they'll probably say: "What do you have to say / or what is your question?" (just say you have comments about the coming election)

You'll then be placed on Hold and you'll be able to hear the live broadcast while you are on hold.

.Then, when it's your turn, they'll probably say this:
"Caller, what is your name and where are you calling from?"

And you tell them your state you live in.

Then they'll ask you "...what is your question this morning?"

- ....you can start by saying something like this:

"For everything having to do with politics and the coming election, I log on to freerepublic.com".
(make sure to pronounce free republic.com slowly and speak slowly) - -

Then you can say: I'm voting for Trump because....(and elaborate about Mr Trump and how you like his plan for this or that, etc.)
You'll probably be allowed about 2 minutes to talk.

It's all that simple. No big deal. :)

From 1999-2001 we fr members back then were constantly calling C-span and after redialing a couple times, we were all easily able to get through three to four times each month during those two years. (so that was about 12 calls in to Cspan by fr members each month back then)

And unlike back in those early days, there are now no long distance charges. You can call while having coffee, while sitting in your backyard, while watching tv, while walking down the sidewalk, etc.

If enough fr members call Cspan in the mornings, many of us should easily be able to get through.

And like Travis McGee has stated above:

Loretta Lynch also worked for the Hogan law firm.

This is the first I have heard this mentioned. I looked it up and sure enough it is true.

In 2001, (Loretta) Lynch left the U.S. Attorney's office to become a partner at Hogan & Hartson (later Hogan Lovells). She remained there until January 20, 2010, when President Barack Obama nominated Lynch to again serve as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. From 2003 to 2005, she was a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Loretta Lynch - (3rd paragraph under early career)

Good catch there Mr. Apple. I hope you and your wife enjoy your vacation, or driving tour of the nation. I know you will be planting your Trump seeds around the country. You're a good man Mr. Apple, and I mean that sincerely.
