We may already have our strangest and most amusing story to come out of the Rio Olympic games.

Paul Kelso, a journalist for Sky Sports in the UK, reported on Friday that an Olympic kayaker had capsized after hitting a submerged couch.

that sucks. Are there multiple competitions to get back in the game or are they out for good now?

Dunno. I don’t own a TV, and for now my interweb connection is my phone.

...and “spotted” with “brown”. Yuck! The olympics is so concerned about “gloBULL warming” that they hold their games in the midst of incredibly polluting city. What a pathetic joke ion the pampered athletes. The reality is that apparently the brazilians don’tr give a rat’s a** about GIA and ecology. Bwahahahahahaha!

Loved that movie. There was a time when blacks could make fun of the ghetto subculture.

But somewhere along the way, something changed. I even remember when Chris Rock would lampoon the culture, now he’s a cheerleader for it. What the hell happened?

For the open water athletes, I hope they wear earplugs too since the ears are very vulnerable to bacterial infections.

Following my discharge from the Army back in 1972 after two years in Panama with the extreme heat and humidity and frequent snorkeling off Taboga Island, I was plagued with constant ear and sinus infections for the next 12 years along with a skin disease that left white blotches over my body.

A dermatologist was able to take care of that skin fungus but the frequent sinus and ear infections continued for years and every time they flared up, I would be given an antibiotic.

Then in 1984 the sinus infections continued without help from antibiotics and the headaches were excruciating. I finally went to an ENT specialist who requested an x-ray on my sinus cavities and found them to be completely clogged.

He then performed an Antral Lavage which required him to go up into my nasal cavity with a BIG hypodermic needle, penetrate the bone in order to access the sinus cavity then proceed to flush it out.

The flushing process forced the crap into my throat and into my mouth and ultimately into a tray held by the nurse. I know this sounds gross but the crap that was flushed out of my sinuses filled the tray and it resembled green algae..........

After that final procedure, I've never had problems with my sinuses or ears again........

I guess the bottom line was, the bacterial infection was never completely eradicated by all the antibiotics I took over those years and instead laid dormant in my sinuses until they regained strength and caused havoc...........

Wait a minute! Is this the Olympics or a military confidence course? I get confused sometimes.

This is like starting the Indy 500 on a track littered by oil cans and engine parts.

I wonder if the athlete has cause to sue Rio for the cost to make his own gold medal . . . along with damages in the million dollar range?

The Olympics should go back to Greece. That is where it started and that is where is should be so long as there are Olympic games. No new stadiums etc. each year they could built the infrastructure to be better and better for each Olympic event.

I hear Medina and Mecca are 1 and 2 favorites for the next one.

Israel will be lighting the torch.
