Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

On Dec. 13, 2000, after perhaps the most hotly contested presidential election in American history (and a Supreme Court decision that divided Americans), Al Gore did one of the most important things that keeps American democracy working: he conceded.

LOL! Selective history.

Al Gore conceded election night, then ridiculously unconceded and put the country through weeks of his and his supporters collective hissy fit. Al Gore lost the election, lost the electronic recount, lost the first manual recount, lost the second manual recount, lost the Supreme Court case (7-2) in which the SC declared his plans for a favorable-to-Al-Gore selective recount unconstitutional, and lost his final Supreme Court petition to have more time to figure out another way he could still the election.

Then he "graciously" conceded like a gentleman concerned with doing what was best for the country. My ass.

And then the NYTimes and other media outfits decided to do the manual selective hand recount that Gore wanted to use. He lost that too.

No, NPR, actually rigging the election strikes at the heart of the democratic republic.

Questioning whether the election will be rigged merely puts the opponent on notice you have seen the hidden dagger in their hand, you twits.

What side did NPR come down on in the Bush-Gore "hanging chad" debacle?

Yeah, I thought so ...

Hypocrites.

Another reason why charges of "rigging" don't necessarily have to be dangerous: the U.S. has 240 years of generally stable democracy.

If you discount a Civil War that killed 600,000.

When certain counties regularly get over 100% voter participation, you know something is being rigged. Surprisingly these votes go heavily for the DemocRATs.

Well, there is no question, the election will be rigged.

This is the new attack mantra against Trump. The host of Reliable Sources on CNN did an editorial on it this morning.

He also attacked any other journalists who didn’t agree that Trump’s rigged election meme was un-American.

So, if the election can't be rigged, why is Obama involving the Justice Department?

Another point lost on NPR - the meaning of "rigged" includes the pervasive bias of the press. Every time "rigged election" comes up, the Trump surrogates point to the press, not to the ballot box. It is the press doing the rigging.

Gore didn’t concede. He sued, appealed, and everything else under the sun. He lost his case, and then complained that he should have been allowed to litigate it until it came out in his favor.

Rigged polls and a rigged media hate campaign are cover for a rigged election later. I don’t think the author is going to get much traction out of “to question the Democrat party is to threaten our very form of government”. Defund NPR.

Concerns from a Government funded wing of the DNC. NPR strikes at the heart of democracy and by failure to report is complicit in rigging elections.

Al Gore conceded because he lost. By all accounts he lost.

I don’t even think the popular vote would matter if Trump got 90% of the vote. The EC will scuttle it after a full federal press to declare Trump mentally ill and a danger to himself.
