I remember an old TV ad,maybe for Saranwrap, that claimed the product was so transparent as to be practically invisible. Maybe he is telling the truth. They would be so transparent that their actions would be invisible to us.

I’ve never understood the use of that word to mean “we tell you everything” since “transparent” means “invisible”.
