A volleyball match Saturday between the U.S. and Puerto Rico in Rio de Janeiro included a ball out call against the Americans, prompting the Brazilian audience to cheer, according to The Daily Caller.
The unidentified NBC announcer was quick to point out that U.S. teams receive negative responses “everywhere” they play, other than at home.
“And you heard the cheers from the pro-Brazilian, pro-Puerto Rican crowd here,” the person said. “You don’t know, the United States gets cheered against everywhere in the world except the United States.”

I have no problem with pros in the Olympics. Before they were allowed many were pros anyway in all but name. It should be a competition between the best.

Agreed. Even as a small government type, I feel that a public entity running sewage treatment, and a functioning coroner's office are reasonable uses of the taxpayers' dime. They can't even achieve that, and yet Democrats want us to be more like these third-world hell holes.

Every time I channel surfed to a station carrying something Olympic, I landed on a commercial and surfed on to another.
I have watched about 20 seconds of actual — a basketball game, half-time at a volleyball game, and table tennis.
...and they train in the USA. Their coaches are in the USA. Face it...most other countries suck in sports (and in many other things).
