Sadly, I can see that dynamic coming into play.
Rather than try to teach people how to live in respect for others, the DNC tries to grant these people dignity and a righteous character. Surprisingly to them, it doesn’t work.
And of course, they really knew it all along.

As I said, sad really. We’re not helping these folks improve their lives. We could.
We could try to make pigs sing. But in the end, the pigs won’t sing and all we’ll have done is piss them off.
