How many times did Rush try to help losers in the primaries?
It was thoroughly analyzed in the post-2012 election that it was the +6 million strong GOP blue collar demographic, the old Perot voter bloc, that abstained from voting for Romney thereby keeping the GOP from taking the White House.
It is an error to think this demographic caused damage to America by allowing Obama a 2nd term because Romney is an open-borders globalist, pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-government run healthcare, etc. and would have been worse or at least as damaging to America as Obama, in fact worse by allowing the GOP to be governed by liberal ideology, a de facto democrat infiltrator.
The 2012 presidential election was rigged so that no matter the outcome the damage to America was certain.
Donald Trump not only has the firm support of the old Perot bloc, he also has the support of the Reagan democrats.

Don’t be ridiculous. Mitt Romney was not doing 1-3 rallies in different States daily for over a year.
Who knows? But no one was really excited by Romney. There was tolerance and some growing hope once he became the nominee, but nothing like Trump (who Romney, interestingly, despises).
Limbaugh didn’t say that and in 2012 obama was also filling stadiums, in case you have forgotten while this time Clinton is hardly drawing crowds at all
