Similar to how the “Big Three" played down the alleged ransom payment to Iran, the nets chose to focus primarily on a Donald Trump controversy instead of a Hillary Clinton one. On Monday Clinton held a rally in Orlando, Florida and in attendance was Seddique Mateen, the father of the Orlando nightclub terrorist, while on Tuesday Trump used innuendo to suggest that 2nd Amendment supporters would somehow stop Clinton. In all, the nets dedicated over 4 times the coverage to Trump, rather than Clinton, during their Tuesday evening broadcasts.
Combined ABC, CBS, and NBC, dedicated 7 minutes, 31 seconds to Trump’s comment, while at the same time giving Mateen’s appearance at the Clinton rally a mere 1 minute, 36 seconds.
CBS Evening News gave Trump’s comment a brief and two full reports totaling 3 minutes 39 seconds. “Donald Trump spoke off the cuff and took his campaign off the rails, again,” stated anchor Scott Pelley leading off the whole show, “This time, it was a remark that some took as a threat of violence against Hillary Clinton or the Supreme Court justices she might appoint if elected president.” In stark contrast, CBS only gave the Mateen story a scant 24 seconds and noted the event was open to the public.
On ABC’s World News Tonight, reporter Tom Llamas featured a tweet from Senator Chris Murphy condemning Trump, saying, “"Don’t treat this as a political misstep. It’s an assassination threat, seriously upping the possibility of a national tragedy and crisis.”” And during their Mateen segment they played a clip of Mateen talking with their local affiliate, where he said, “It's the Democratic Party, so everybody can join.”

NBC Nightly News gave absolutely zero time to the Matten story, they instead chose to focus all of their political coverage on Trump. “But we want to start at home with Donald Trump and a potential new controversy simmering tonight after a remark that at best was a joke and at worst was an implied threat of violence,” said anchor Lester Holt leading off the night.
Telemundo spent zero time as well with its parent company being NBC.
The article notes that all the networks ignored a comment Hillary made in 2008:
HILLARY CLINTON: You know, my husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right?
OFFSCREEN VOICE: June.
CLINTON: We all remember, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know, I just, I don’t understand it.
It was the main story on CNN with their panels. I caught Out Front With Erin Burnett, and they spent the majority of the show discussing the Trump comments and gave a minute or two near the end of the show to the Mateen story.
CNN's Anderson Cooper (who was not there) also spent part of their show dealing with the Trump comments. I then turned it off and put the Olympics on.
It's a shame these comments gave them fodder because it would have been interesting if they would have spent time on the Mateen issue.
I hope Trump is paying attention to this, and mentions it many times at his rallies and during interviews.
Believe me, they would have found something else to use up air time if Trump hadn't made the comments. No way would they spend it on Mateen.

It wouldn’t have mattered whether Trump made the 2nd Amendment statement or not. The networks would have found something else to blow up into a controversy in order to help Clinton avoid voter scrutiny.
Sadder still, is you won’t see any established Republican leaders jumping in front of cameras to defend their presidential nominee from these sharks.
It’s Trump and the American people against the world.

There is always the Gold star family to recycle. Never mind that Khizr Khan has made a ton of money acquiring green card visa’s for his rich clients from Pakistan. If Trump gets elected president, that gravy train would come to a screeching halt.
The media are blatantly biased, and they make no attempt to hide the fact. That is why Trump needs to watch what he says very, very carefully; because no matter what he says, the media will take it out of context, twist in into something unrecognizable, and attack him mercilessly.
Trump needs to turn this back on the media: He needs to use parallel logic: “If I said I would appoint anti-abortion jurists to the Supreme Court, the Dems would say that pro-abortion folks would have something to say about that. Does that mean that the pro-abortion folks want to abort (i.e., kill) me?”
The DNC Media would have NEVER talked about the Jihadi father being at the Clinton rally..WOW a whole 30 seconds, and with the captain “Its the Democratic party everyone can join” LOL WOW media really?? Notice how it works with the Pravda media, when Hillary Clinton says “I WILL RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS” the media says “THAT’S NOT WHAT SHE MEANT!” but when Trump says what he said today the media says “TRUMP WANTS CLINTON KILLED” please..no one is going to kill Clinton, the way she is going she is gonna keel over from whatever medical disease she has

When you see Republicans come out in favor of Hillary Clinton, wanting Syrian refugees to come to the US, and Amnesty for illegals you can see why they have NO problem “Crossing the aisle” they are Democrats, always have been, we just see them for what they are now

The trap is set, but for whom?
Right now the Democrats may feel that they are playing rope-a-dope with a candidate who has a loose tongue.
Let’s see what they think when said candidate raises the ante and mentions more explosive ideas that the media will have to “cover” in their usual partisan way. For example, the subject of Arkancide — let’s see them spin that one.
Of course they will try and so will the Democrats. But if there’s enough attention paid to that subject, perhaps justice will finally be done, starting with the election results.
I expect this subject to come up around debate time. There’s no point in having it burn out this early in the election. Wait until everyone is paying full attention, then hit with the best shots. Politics 101.
And that’s why it’s over. Bravo to Donald for standing up to the world and fighting the good fight. We finally have a candidate who has understood and articulated all of the ills killing this society. But, it’s over. The uniparty globalists will get their way. There’s no way in hades that Khan could’ve erased Trump’s lead and killed his candidacy but it’s happened. As soon as he was the official nominee they’ve done everything they can to destroy him (and us) and it will work, whether it’s electorate ignorance/apathy or fraud she’s going to be queen and the fools will cheer as the nation burns and dance in the ashes. Many have been awoken this time around but it’s not going to be enough. Evil wins.

And the local broadcast media (in South Florida at least) is sucking up to Hitlery too. She is in Miami for a $30,000 a seat fundraiser, but her handlers brought her to a health clinic for a photo op.
She rambled on about fighting the Zika virus and then scooted off to get the money. And the media drooled.
I am waiting for a backlash against the media as never before. The American public has to be fed up unto death about the biased coverage of the campaigns.
All Trump needs to do is maintain a steady course. He is getting the media to mischaracterize what he is saying with lies upon lies. They are getting more and more unhinged as Trump is commanding huge rallies and their pathetic Hildebeast is attracting fewer numbers as time goes on. The public is sensing that something is not right about the Media’s treatment of Trump. Once Trump vocalizes the truth, it will confirm what the public is thinking but cannot find the words.
“It was just a joke” only works for Dems.
But I’m still stunned at the WaPo reaction. Why did they do that? Was yesterday their annual, “Tell the Truth Day?”
