He could be a historic figure if he did the right thing for the country. Imagine if the head of the FBI blew the whistle on all of them. He could get protection for himself and his family.

The DOJ is a state-sponsored terrorist organization. Individual states need to call up the state guard and deal with these traitors.

I guess we’d better hope that as a people we look in the mirror. It was the people who elected this rabble and gave them the levers of power. When a system gets like this some form of bold action is required and if the people won’t correct it on election day the only recourse left is watering the tree.

Perhaps he is calculating that there is no one with sufficient authority to truly protect him. But for certain the Administration and Hillary would turn their media dogs on him 24/7 - like they are on Trump - and he doesn’t want to put his people through that...or through the loss of income from his firing, which would be immediate.
The media would be turned loose on him viciously if took this outside the chain of command. Remember, the media is theirs, they own it.

Re the Clinton spokesliar’s comment that she didn’t “take any action” on the donor’s requests.
Well, neither did former Va. Gov. McDonnell and a Dem Att. Gen. prosecuted/persecuted him, got a conviction (now being overturned), and sent him to jail.
Time to do the same thing to Hillary and send her to jail.

So are Ryan and McConnell going to say anything about this? Or are they just going to remain silent and continue to stab Trump in the back when they get the chance.

I think! This corruption is ripping America apart.

We probably only know about 10% of it - if you look at how much the Clinton Global Initiative and Foundation are worth you quickly realize just how big and deep the corruption goes. No way people donate that kind of money without getting something in return.
It is not just them either, although they appear to be the primary benefactors. This corruption is throughout our congress also where people quickly and miraculously become millionaires on a salary that does not match while maintaining two residences.
