As Andrew Dice Clay used to say...”shut up and finish the job already!”

Does freedom of religion depend on the timing of working conditions and what you did or did not know when you took the job?

Kind of. If you take a job that you KNOW your religion does not allow you to perform then you have lied to your employer and should be fired. It's not a religion issue. She is free to practice her religion as long as it does not intrude on others rights. It is a contractual issue. She broke her contract (to serve alcohol as required) and should be fired.

Freedom of religion does NOT allow you to force anyone else to comply with your religion.

Example. A person converts to a different religion without changing jobs. Does a new convert have less religious freedom than a person born to a religion?

The person has the same exact freedom of religion. They DO NOT however have the right to demand that their employer sacrifice anything just because they have converted. The convert has two choices. Either do the job they were hired to do (before they changed religions) or find a different job.

If an abortionist gets saved, they can either continue doing abortions in compliance with their contract (and in conflict with their religion) or they can get a different job where they no longer have to act opposed to their religion.

It's really not that hard of an issue.
