Malia Obama has been accused of smoking marijuana after a video of her puffing on a suspicious cigarette was released. The president's eldest daughter was seen inhaling from the cigarette during the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. The brief clip, published by Radar on Wednesday, shows the 18-year-old mingling with crowds as she takes a drag. An eyewitness insisted she was smoking marijuana.

The president has admitted to smoking marijuana in the past. He said he had used 'a little blow' in high school and college. He even made a joke about it at this year's White House Correspondent's Dinner. 'The last time I was that high, I was trying to decide my major,' he said.

I have the same concern in this none-of-our-business incident as I did with the Bush twins and their drinking escapades. A lot of time, money, and talent is spent guarding these young ones. There’s a constant threat that someone could do them harm, and put the nation in a difficult situation. There’s NO WAY either the parents or Secret Service should allow such reckless behavior.

All the standards of class & propriety are largely considered archaic and lost to the past (and in no way is that limited to the Obamas).

It just another part of the dismantling of society. It is part of the program and the young lady is doing her part (and will be praised for it in some circles).

Future “first kids” will be able to point to this shining example to excuse whatever character flaws (my opinion) they exhibit.

I had the same thought. Was were her body guards/Secret Service thinking or doing at that moment? I couldn’t see anyone that remotely looked like Secret Service in the photos or video unless I simply missed it.

Like most us, I have noticed this daughter always seems so, much more unhappy at events than the younger one. Even read somewhere that she cannot WAIT to move out of the White House. Interesting, isn’t it?

At first I thought she was set up - someone handed her a joint while his accomplice stood by with a camera, and she fell for it big time.

Then I thought about another pic I saw of her raising her skirt and twerking for a photographer at the same event. It was obvious she knew she was being filmed.

She's intentionally embarrassing her dad.
